I'm just curious, if Ethier and Crawford were FA's, where would people slot them on this list (if at all)?

all reports have said they're interested in bringing him back, but even if not, Cain plays plenty of RF and Dyson would move into CF. i just don't see how Ethier's bum ass would fit into their plans. he sucks. you gotta get more than an " Ethier package " for Holland..especially since Holland doesn't hit free agency for another 2 years.

true, but dyson doesn't get on base well enough to be an everyday CF imo

he got the start in San Fran over Aoki though.

the majority of KC's players having underwhelming OBP%s..Dyson actually ranks 4th on the team among the guys who contributed in over 120 contests during the reg-season. KC is more about valuing what they have defensively with all that range.

So we sign 3 players 35 and below and the gnats and Cubs sign like 5 each? Give me a fucking break.

you guys are tough to please. I really wouldn't mind this.
Romo is solid and would be our 2nd best pen arm immediately.
Casey J would not be bad on a flyer deal
Morrow is a lotto ticket. incentives, player option for a 2nd (or 3rd) year but yeah... I'm all in on that. dude touched 100 early last season

Would like Martin but idk if its a good fit. (Cubs really like him... trust me lol)
Give me Jon Lester though, please.

fwiw, the "%" sign after OBP is redundant since the 'P' stands for Percentage.

    I believe it.

We're at $190 million + right now. I sincerely doubt we'll match last years number. Most of our (major) acquisitions will come from trade with signings making up the minority of the dollars.

Sergio romo did grow up a hardcore Dodger fan. His family still roots pretty hard for the Dodgers, lol. (I live in a town fairly close to Romo, our whole valley is small. Have met the dad and family numerous times. I've said this story before, but after Hanley hit a huge home run off him, his dad sent him a text of the photo and made fun of him)

Of course, it's not like it's rare to be a Dodger fan growing up, or to be a baseball player from SoCal and I wouldn't even know if that is a huge factor for him (money talks!) but yeah

again, would like to have Romo..personal feelings get pushed to the side here because we're in dire need of help. just do me one solid though before that signing..DFA Wilson. he's a waste of time. between Wilson, Romo, and Howell our pen would be lookin like half the 7 dwarves.

Or hit, hitting .250 is only acceptable if you are
    1) a catcher
    2) driving in runs
    Neither of which Dyson does.

It's worse than that, it's like $210M including the $20M in projected arbitration (Jansen, Turner, AJ, Barney, Butt-era, Gordon). Something like Gregerson/Romo(only on short deal), McCarthy or Kenta Maeda (Japanese free agent to be) and maybe a SS like Cabrera or Lowrie (if they want nothing to do with either Rojas or EA playing everyday), would be about as exciting an off-season as they will have.

Barney and Butera should be considered locks for non tenders.
