If Stan buys the team, that is probably the case. But if Stan Doesn't buy the Dodgers, the Rams are still probably going to come and they will 90% be playing in downtown LA and 10% playing in Industry. Not in the ravine.

I would love the Rams back but not at the expense of the Dodgers fortunes.

To be fair Stan Kroenke doesn't just own the Rams... He also owns the MLS Colorado Rapids (won MLS cup in 2010), the NHL Avalance (won Stanley Cup in 2001 and are contenders nearly every year), the NBA Nuggets, and the English Premier League's Arsenal. MLB is the only sport he doesn't have a team in.

he has been the most intriguing for me from the get. i know why there are reservations about him but i think if he can resurrect the dodgers and rams in LA at the same time that this would be a story for the ages.

I've been negative about this, but you're right. Everyone thinks if he bought the Dodgers he'd just care about his Rams, but these billionaires always think bigger. This dude could want to fucking own LA, and having two power house sports teams in the same city, a city like LA, could make this guy so huge.

Maybe I'm just too young to grasp the concept of football in LA... Or maybe just the fact that I hate football and couldn't give a fuck about it. When I think of LA I think of the Lakers, Dodgers, and USC. Not the Rams; who by the way can't even compete in the NFC West. But this is besides the point.

The main thing I'm stressing is that I don't trust this man taking over the Ravine (partially; since he'll be working with McCourt). I'm also not a fan of how poor the Rams are, as that is the team that it seems everyone addresses him of owning.

Could you imagine one big ass football stadium standing where Dodger Stadium once stood?

Arsenal is my football team, and they suck dick. Don't have the dollars to mix it with Man U, Man C and Chelsea.

I know this is the Dodger thread, but we need to remember that our situation may pale in comparison to the problems Bud may be about to have with the Mets. Neither he nor MLB wants to continue any acrimony with Frank and wants our situation done with as soon as possible without anymore litigation by Frank. If we think the April 1 deadline is cast in stone and MLB will force anything on the Dodgers just read the following and see if Bud wants to continue any clash with Frank that involves lawyers, judges and expenses. If thinks start to blow up with the Mets there is no sweet media deal to bail them out.

Suckered by Madoff? Aw too bad...

It seems that the ONLY way to steal from people these days is to be "too big to fail" and then 'someone' such as MLB arm twisting B of A to provide 'free' funds to any entity seen as a good thing whether the books suggest this to be a prudent move or not.

Too big to fail? Aw bullshit... can't wait to see some other high flyers sharing Madoff's pen... Wonder if Martha "hysterically obnoxious" Stewart would be willing to sing about these fools?

And I agree that it does sort of indicate that Bud has grown weary of Frank McCrooks litigious habits...

Judge ruled today that the Trustee can collect about 83 million from Wilpon and his partner. Also that the trustee can move forward suing for 300 plus million. That was a significant defeat for the Mets and your link because really right on spot. The question is can we get our ownership situation squared away soon enough to get David Wright from them in a salary dump.

We could easily get into the postseason with some help at the deadline. Wright and a solid pitcher to go with CK and Bills.

The Mets got Zach Wheeler for Carlos Beltran, who was a half-year rental

Wright is going to cost something very insane
