A baby was born in Petco, delivered by a registered nurse at the game...amazing.
The parents are naming the kid Matthew Kemp...go figure...

Also, this CK/DBB squabble may be a blessing in disguise...I hope it keeps elevating to a huge thing, but it probably won't knowing the Dodgers.
But conversely, IMhumbleO, if CK is pissed enough it could start the downfall of DBB as manager...and that's a good thing. He just doesn't know what to do with kershaw...leave him in, or take him out (see: last year post season).
Kershaw is the franchise player, not Seager in my world. Seager may be eventually, probably will, but while CK is "the best pitcher in BB", he's the franchise--hands down. So I hope it all starts at least. I'm dreaming, but stranger things have happened.
I heard in a recap, that "Donwas right-it worked perfectly and to Kershaw's good"...I don't get it. Wasn't Heisey in the game already? Wasn't Austin Barnes his PH, not Heisey? Barnes nade out didn't he?
So how then, was that the move that was so great? It had zero to do with scoring and going ahead; maybe I'm wrong, It all worked out, happily as far as the W, but not because CK was lifted.

I'm assuming they meant it "worked out" because Kershaw was able to get the W without a long outing that would've further added to the high amount of innings he's already pitched - not that they won BECAUSE Kershaw was lifted. Of course, the odds of scoring 4+ runs that inning were minuscule, so it's not like it was planned to work out that way.

Personally, I was really hoping CK would reach 300 K's on the season, but that's not looking likely now despite the 9 yesterday, because I'm sure he'll get scratched from his start on the last day of the season (provided HFA over the Mets is still not at stake).

in fairness, he had to if he wanted to remain in the game
joe west is the most autocratic czar, er, umpire there is
i don't like him, but i actually give him credit on this occasion...
he could have very easily yelled out to bumgarner and instigated things
but by simply engaging in a stare down, he gave madbum the rope to hang himself
    both got their points across

btw, what that video didn't show was west staring madbum down all the way to the dugout at the end of the inning

Stupid POS A's blowing the lead. Reddick stupidly diving for a ball he had no chance at gave them second and third instead of first and second.

I don't really care that much about clinching the division as I do home field. Division is imminent.
