I for one am glad that fellow dodger fans arent so fanatical as cubs or phillies or redsox fans.
    Folks gonna talk shit.
I rather it be for something thats BS like getting in late and leaving early than for being the sheep in chicago the dicks in philly the aholes in boston or the douches in ny.

From what I'm reading here, it looks like LA fans are the cream of the crop (does that count for the Angels, too, I wonder? ). We hold these truths to be self evident...
So, it would only be fitting that the greatest fans in the world are rewarded with a world championship...some might even say it's about fucking time.

I care about us getting the respect we deserve, but then again I don't watch ESPN so maybe they are doing it right. I dropped cable a long time ago, so the only time I'm exposed to that network is in here. I'd say the Cubs are less relevant than us, but I think there's a tipping point where not winning a WS goes from sad to endearing... it's probably around 85 years (the same age an old person can be nasty/grouchy and we start to accept it as cute). But I say fuck 'em. When all the east coasters are huddled in their homes watching ESPN and it's rainy and windy outside, I'm rollin' down Imperial Highway with a big nasty redhead at my side.

They will be forced to talk about us at least one day after we win the WS.

I dont give two shits about 'respek' from ESPN or the media.
Its like when your barber agrees with you, or the stripper flirts with you.

But it does seem like a whole lot of people care about what they say/don't say about us...a bit headscratching, imo, why it matters at all when the almost universal categorization of them is their mothers lick scrotum and they eat a bag of dicks...pretty much every one of them is a semi- literate manipulated hack, no?
Why then does it matter what they say again?

I care, but I don't know why. And like I said, I don't watch the station, so in reality I'm not their target market so they shouldn't care what I think. It's all a whirlwind of emotion. I can't explain it. Too many years without a WS just makes us all bitter.

Giants acquire Gordon Beckham from Braves
    ESPN.com news services

The San Francisco Giants acquired infielder Gordon Beckham from the Atlanta Braves to add depth during the final week of the season.

In exchange for Beckham, the Braves received minor league infielder Rich Rodriguez, 23, who has a .264 average with 18 doubles and 68 RBIs in six seasons in the Giants' farm system.

Beckham will not be eligible to play in the postseason, if the Giants qualify, since the trade comes after the Aug. 31 deadline.

Third baseman Eduardo Nunez injured his hamstring stealing his 40th base of the season Sunday. Bochy indicated that Nunez will miss two to three days with the injury. Shortstop Brandon Crawford, meanwhile, is playing despite a dislocated left pinkie.

Conor Gillaspie is expected to replace Nunez in the starting lineup.

"With what happened there with Nuney, we felt we could use the help," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said, according to CSNBayArea.com.

Beckham, 30, is hitting .217 with five home runs and 30 RBIs in 85 games this season, which was his first with the Braves. He has played third base, second base and shortstop this season.

Bochy said Beckham was due to arrive shortly before first pitch of Tuesday night's series opener against Colorado.

I thought we should have brought in Danny Valencia from the A's to secure the division and home field advantage as well.
And to have him for next year in case for some reason we lose Turner in FA.
Either way he kills lefties and would be good to have on next years bench or even start in LF.
Probably could have had him for a cheap low level prospect.
    Or Bud Norris.

Some strippers are known to be sluts who will 'date' someone who is a good tipper ;)
I should have said waitresses instead of strippers.
I have been to too many restaurants where a friend of mine will swear the waitress was flirting with him or into him or that she likes him or whatever.
Its their job to be friendly, its also in their best interest so you buy more and tip better.
Im such a dick always raining on their parade.

Do you remember the line from " Aurthur"? When the excellent Dudley Moore says out loud in the swanky restaurant " you're a hooker? I thought you really liked me"!
