I hate to call this a pivotal series this early in the season, but it feels like just that. I looked back on DSP during our lowest point last year, and while there was a good share of frustration, I think the hope on DSP was much much higher. To the point of 4x the posts. Now we are checked out. And for good reason, IMO. Our record was bad last season too, but we had new call-ups Taylor and Bellinger crushing it, Seager was hitting 460' bombs, Kenley was hitting triple digits, Wood was 100-0, and Kershaw was still Kershaw. I honestly don't see how our current club pulls together and comes out of this. We need something this week.
The DBacks are going to bring playoff intensity to this series. They would love to bury us in April, and knowing the intensity we will bring (or lack there of) I like the DBacks' chances.
This is a SERIOUSLY important series and if my prediction comes true we would be 11 games out!!!! If we are going to have a chance to win the division the team better take this series dead seriously.

Nerds do good things. Dave does lots of bad things with it. If it comes to light that the short leashes he gives pitchers come from the Nerds (which they might, pushing Pedro Baez probably comes from the nerds) then the nerds deserve some shit too. They do crazy deals that turn out to be mega steals as if its normal. Even the Kemp deal. Lots of hate for that deal. Adrian Gonzales is still the same guy we had last year. And we got to dump Kazmir and McCarthy who we all detested for varied reasons. McCarthy is having a nice start with the Braves, but the Braves can do some miracles with pitchers. We all knew that his problem was health and confidence. Health was back but his mind had become jello. Kazmir is not in the game. We gave up Culberson but he has be horrible for them too. While Matt Kemp has been a bright spot and at worst has turned himself into a very nice trade chip if we are sellers going forward. Nerds IMO are not the problem right now. Dave is. If they fire Dave the team might just get that kick in the pants they need. Utley can take over as player/manager. We need a new Pete Rose since the old one isn't allowed.

Just awful man. Even with a team with so much great young talent, it feels like the end of a run. Fuck. I’ll just accept that 2017 was the highest it’ll get and try to look back at it with an optimistic view at how happy it made me instead of focusing on the failure I guess
So we go trade for Manny Machado, fuck it. Next year Corey comes back as a 3B. Turner goes to 1B. Bellinger hits the OF.
