All star game hasn’t decided the World Series since 2016

Look, I’m not shocked at all. There is nothing this FO has done to remotely suggest they would open the pocket book to sign an impact FA. Nothing. So fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me 4-5 times, I’m a moron.

I hear they picked up Triene (sp) on a 1 year deal. So it looks like for now, our season depends on Seager, Kelley, CK and Jansen having career years.

I haven't been able to bring myself on here since the last playoff loss, and even now I can't read people's posts or articles on the Dodgers as it stirs up too many negative thoughts. But I do see the headlines, and I'll tell you this. There is a silver lining if the Dodgers big signing this winter is Bumgarner... and that is that I'll have a lot more free time on my hands during baseball season for the remainder of his contract. For as much as I feel the Lebron-led Lakers are unrelatable to me (even despite their season-to-date success), a Bumshithead Dodger team would be far, far more difficult for me to get behind.

Great news! The Dodgers made more money than any other team last year with a revenue of $95M!!! Let's hear it for our owners that have found a way to keep raking in that cash flow!

Dodgers are the strongest pursuer of Betances and are also working on a Hader deal potentially. Don't really give a fuck one way or another cause they are gonna need a lot more than those two to turn this team in a WS favorite.

Dodgers Digest would lose their minds if the Dodgers added Hader and Bumgarner.
    Do it
    We aint winning anyways.

Only way I get interested in the 2020 Dodgers:

    • Roberts is implicated in the Astros scandal as a traitor and is banned from MLB.
    • Dodgers get Hader (to get better, but also piss off Nosler)
    • Dodgers get one of Bryant, Arenado, Lindor or Donaldson
    • Dodgers FO tricks me into hoping for a real SP at the deadline
    • Dodgers sign Bumgarner just to piss off Giant fans and Dustin Nosler even more

Yankees also have interest in Hader which means we are eliminated from getting him since the Yankees put an emphasis on winning and we do not

Rather piss Giants' fans off by winning a WS or 3.
Signing Bumgarner during his decline, so the SFG fans can point and laugh when he sucks - doesn't sound that nice

If there is a joke there I'm not getting it.

Are you saying that the all star star w no longer earns world series home field?

As #Dodgers and Indians discuss Francisco Lindor, trade talks reportedly have also included Mike Clevinger

“The Dodgers have a lot of prospect capital and not just guys, but guys that can make a difference. Gavin Lux, from what I’ve been told, is a guy that the Indians would want in any deal for Francisco Lindor.

And from what I’ve found out the last 24 hours, there have been different versions of the trade discussed that would involve Lindor and not Corey Kluber, but Lindor and possibly Mike Clevinger.” - Vassegh

Clevinger would be an interesting twist and a solid addition to that deal, but why in the world would they want to move him unless they are going more for a rebuild? I also had no idea that Clevinger threw as hard as he does as I thought he was a soft tosser, but it looks like his Velo is up 3 ticks since 2017, so that may have been when I last saw him. Seems like this would be a deal where A LOT would be going the other way. Which at this point, whatever.

Now that is interesting. I'm sure lots of stuff has been discussed but this doesn't seem logical. He's 28, very good and under cheap control for three seasons.

    I'd be all over it

Trade away MVP caliber Lindor and you are pretty much rebuilding. At least that's what the fans would expect no matter what the club says. Building around a new, younger centerpiece.

Been saying for a couple years now, how these teams match up for a big deal. Way before Lindor were being discussed. Puig was always a fit there with Tito in charge and I'll be damned if he didn't end up there. I'm sure May would be outta here and maybe one of Joc or Verdugo. Or maybe they get CLE to take Pollock in order to get Ruiz thrown in. Way too many pieces fit to not get it done
