NFL offensive tackle Greg Robinson was being held Wednesday in a Texas jail on a pending drug distribution charge, records show. Robinson, 27, a former Auburn standout who played for the Cleveland Browns last season, was booked by the Drug Enforcement Administration on Tuesday after federal agents said they found 157 pounds of marijuana in a rented vehicle in which he and two other people were riding. I'd give it 5 weeks before Bears fans would be livid with him. Those 4th down throwaways and 3rd and long checkdowns get old quick
Benjamin Allbright@AllbrightNFL Bears are quietly looking at QB options. Trubisky will still get the shot to be the guy, but much like Titans/Mariota last year, the leash is short. They'd prefer vet ready-to-play, options. If Raiders were to move on from Carr ($21.5m cap hit vs $7.9 dead) theyd be interested. Bears have a 2nd round pick that the RAIDERS sent to them in the Mack trade. Would be pretty funny to get it back in a Carr trade. Probably not a hard deal to make.
What a freaking idiot. 157lbs in a rental vehicle? Near the Texas Mexico border? Probably the last place you want to be with large quantities of drugs. You know one of the high school teams there, their actual official team name is the Criminals. And isn’t MJ legal in more and more jurisdictions?
I don't fuck with soccer and all the ridiculous shit that goes on - among the lack of scoring - but this is the final frontier of fuckery right here.... Should leave a mark on the world of men's sports. May be the worst shit I've ever heard of happening - aside from somebody losing their life in the field of play
Carr trying to control his destiny with subtle posts - I don't blame him - but I'm not sure if he actually knows what he's looking to get himself into here. He may be the best QB the Bears have ever had on arrival (Lol), but I don't think he's ready for that weather consistently. There's cold, and there's Chicago cold. And Bears' fan can be every bit as tough as RAIDER fan, so he gets no break there either. Actually, the Bears should take some time and think it through..but he does have a relatively cheap contract and Trubisky sucks, so
And Carr is statistically the worst QB in cold weather games since his arrival to the league. I get it from Chicago's perspective though.....Carr can be super frustrating, but nothing compares to watching Mitch Trubisky.
Guess we'll see how desperate the Bears are. This QB/musical chairs situation - in the event that Brady lands in Tennessee with Vrabel - could mean Tannehill lands in Vegas
I wouldn't be excited about Tannehill. I know he lit it up in the 2nd half for Tennessee, but it seemed flukish. Is he really an upgrade over Derek?
