KCP is playing some of the best basketball of his career. Just turned 27..prime years ahead..may be beginning to peak. Has to be benefiting from the rock solid coaching staff.

Gonna be hard to displace Caruso and KCP in the rotation. Even though it does look like they're starting to give Caruso a lighter workload to help him get through his 1st 82 game slate

I'd be very curious to hear who those guys are as we've seen many elite/blue collar guys go through Miami and seem happier than ever. Would be willing to guess those guys have 0 titles to their names.

Some of the worst have won titles - Antoine Walker (one of a good amount of guys that have won there, yet complained) - but even if we're talking about some of the best guys, not all of those guys enjoy all that extra stuff either. The best of the best, majority of them are internally motivated and don't need all that extra stuff. Blue collar only goes so far without the elite players to back it up and make it all worth it for some guys. A lot of guys in the league are just realistic..know that if they don't have prime LeBron/prime Wade caliber teammates - they don't have a real shot at winning a title, anwyay. And if guys don't see the reward for all that extra shit - they complain.

Strict culture can make some guys and break others - helps some guys get paid - but in the midst of all the hoops that Riles makes them jump through, it's pretty natural for athletes that have been stars all theirs lives to complain about all that extra stuff. Especially if they've been on other teams..guys start comparing experiences and what not. Many pieces have been written about Miami's strict culture. It's not a place for everyone

We've seen scrubs like James Johnson, Whiteside(nobody before Miami) Tyler Johnson, Waiters himself, and many others go to the Heat and get in the shape of their lives, play way better than normal, and get paid big time. I think the Heat are very attractive to the majority. Spo is highly regarded because he seems to get a lot of little. Riley didn't make the best moves post LeBron, but Spo still had the Heat playing at a decent level with mostly role players.

If the strict culture is simply wanting guys to show up to camp in shape and not partake in fuckery off the court, I don't see where that is so bad. Most guys will side with 5 time champion, Pat Riley.
Waiters consuming a cannabis-infused gummy on a team flight and then having a panic attack because he was way too high is beyond the norm lol.

Antoine Walker having an issue with it is far from surprising. He had a similar work ethic to Jamarcus Russell and now he looks like an ex center.

I'll buy that it's not a place for some players, but that would make me question the players far more than the way the Heat run ship.

That's probably the only thing guys truly salvage from playing there, and to be fair - guys also get into the best shape of their lives on their own. Don't really need an org for that. When Julius Randle decided to take his conditioning seriously - his contract year - he took it upon himself and busted his ass in the off-season. Didn't need Riles or Spo for that.

Just relaying the message I've heard from guys. That Miami shit is overblown. It'd be ideal if all these players worked the same, never fucked up, but we know that's not reality. Same can be said of the way orgs go about their business..why Miami stands out as an intense experience for a lot of players. Been described as " boot camp ". Riles was pretty lucky that LeBron was in Cleveland and Bosh/Toronto. Neither guy wanted try their team up/Big 3 thing in those places. They wanted to join Wade in the sun

The JR Smith, Lance, Waiters types just turn me off big time. racist

In critical moments, I expect dudes like that to lose the script and take a dumb 3 or turn the ball over.

Guess I will just have to trust LeBron's judgement as he will be the one to make the call.

Preferring the guys that present the least amount of drama is understandable. Majority of LAL fans probably feel the same. Safe to say JR and Lance are capable of doing something silly. Also capable of doing some good..LeBron doesn't block Iguodala in that Game 7 if JR's not sprinting back in transition to make Iguodala change his shot. They're a bunch of Joc Pedersons to a degree. Mercurial guys. Can LeBron turn mercury into wine?

Don't know where all this Waiters stuff is heading, but again - a 2nd meeting is weird and seems like it could just be positive PR spin for a guy that they like. He definitely needs some shine coming out of that situation in Miami. Cook signed a 2 year deal, so the obvious guy to waive would be Daniels. They're also waiting until March 2nd to have this meeting with Waiters, so maybe they're waiting to see if a guy like Moe Harkless gets bought out?

Of all the rejects out there right now the least reject of them all is Lance imo.
And Lance has balled hard for Vogel before.
Plus he is not trying to get into basketball shape.
He has been playing and can step right in.
Not the shooter that JR and not the potential that Waiters has.
But he has more size than Waiters and more playmaking than both of them.
Plus I feel I could trust him more than the other two.
Lance is happy go lucky but not in a flakey/space cadet type of way.

    He is always trying hard.
    A little too hard.
    Which is probably his problem.
He's talented but not as athletically gifted to match his talent and skills.
While the other two guys are highly athletically gifted and have more refined skills but IMO Lance is more talented overall as an actual basketball player.
And to me it seems like he cares about the game.
For instance I am sure Lance would wait till he gets home before he starts taking edibles.
Or maybe Lance isn't silly and goofy because he smokes week.
Maybe he's just like that by nature.
But he I don't think he is a wild and crazy guy like the other two.
There is a weird kind of self confidence in Lance's game.
Not in a cocky way though.
Although he is the most entertaining guy in the league.
    Bring back the air guitar!

He's played for seven teams in the league since 2010 and only one (Indiana) for more than one year.

There's a reason. Also a reason he's playing in China and not the league.

Hard pass on the Air Guitar.

Imagine if someone like the Orlando Magic had drafted Draymond.

He'd have been an absolute nobody.

His comments were funny as hell but Draymond has always annoyed the hell out of me.

Such big energy for a role player.

    His usual triple single.

    Kerr was pissed too.

Dray and Harden are easily the top two most annoying players in the NBA, but at least Harden does score.
