Would love for Waiters to pull it together with LAL and stay to battle it out with Horton-Tucker next year. Between those two, KCP's improvement, along with Caruso - LAL could have some pretty solid guard play going forward beyond this season Now, that I think about it - with the year he's having, KCP may actually opt out this summer
Bradley has the money ball today against his old team. See one real difference between these teams thus far..Rondo checks in for the Lakers and not the Clippers. Waiters may have to get Rondo's 10-15 minutes come playoff time. Definitely looks like Morris will be of use in this matchup
Lou with that meaningless 3 pointer at the end of the game. Overrated ass did nothin. 7 points on 3-11 FG in 28 minutes. Better yet - 4 points. That unguarded 3 pointer at the end doesn't count for shit. Avery Bradley bustin him up Lol
Rondo actually played well in the 2nd half. If Caruso had more true PG skills and the confidence to try some of stuff Rondo tries, he'd probably get those minutes, but Caruso stays in his role and they're probably trying to make sure he gets through this season, as well. Caruso's 1st 82 game slate. Waiters has the confidence - some would call it irrational confidence, but it's there. If Waiters gets it in gear, Lakers are winning this shit. Waiters can be every bit the player that Lou Williams is if he's focused. Lou averaging just 1 bucket more than Waiters in about the same minutes per contest - basically the same %'s. Difference is of course, Lou is mature and a pro and Waiters is struggling with that. But we don't want Waiters to be too much Lou - because in a playoff setting - Lou has been easy to handle. Why? He's Harden-lite. When the refs aren't calling a bunch of BS fouls - which they generally try not to do in the playoffs - guys that rely on the refs become less potent. Guys like Harden and Lou. They need ref assistance and the randomness of the NBA reg-season schedule to be at their best. Lou goes left - you know the jumpshot is coming. He goes right - he's going to the basket. Easy shit to clamp down on in a 4-7 game series where you're playing the guy over and over
Skip Bayless@RealSkipBayless Clippers don't want this game. Guess they're happy to be up 2-1 on the Lakers for the season. I know the Clippers don't like early 12:30 pst games but this is embarrassing. Just didn't show up.
Chicago vice lord. Gang guy thinks he can just be as extra as he wants and that guys won't do anything about it because he's got a gang behind him. Same thing Garnett had going on during his career and why he was always barking. Also a CHI vice lord. Aside from that, probably personal for Beverley, as well. Lakers traded Beverley to Miami back when LeBron 1st arrived there and Miami cut him. Ultimately, Beverley's corny. Durant shit on him so bad last year in the playoffs. Lol " I'm Kevin Durant. You know who I am. " And then proceeded to put Beverley in his place
Dwayne Wade said, " look..I've played in the playoffs quite a bit. If you can't rebound, you can't win. "
Was a pretty scary fall the other day. Maybe Brook Lopez will step up? What am I saying, Lopez has been extra-trash this season. Signing him to that contract was ridiculous before the ink was dry. 4yrs/$52M just one year after signing him for $3M. Smh It's not even like he was good in the playoffs or anything. Played some solid defense, but they could've signed Dwight or Javale for that..and for less than $52M
Bucks lose to Denver, pick up their 3rd loss in a row. Their next game: VS current 3-seed Boston Lakers now just 1 game behind the Bucks in the loss column Denver hot on the Clips' ass for the 2 seed and Utah right behind Rockets a just couple L's away from the 7 seed..at one point it looked like the Rockets and Clips could meet in a 4-5 matchup, but maybe it'll be 2-7 instead?
