Still like Lavine's chances of landing if he forces CHI's FO to move early, but come to think of it, it may not even have to come to that since it's a brand new FO in CHI. They may not want to start with the last FO's #1 guy, so it may be a solid opportunity while other teams are hunting for Beal and Giannis. Dudley said, " 2 or 3 pieces "....the 2nd piece could be someone like Moe Harkless to replace Kuz as the long combo forward/long wing defender off the bench. Although, Harkless wouldn't even have to play as much as Kuz did since Lavine would be pulling in 35ish minutes a night at various positions as the 3rd scorer. Plus, still have to play Caruso and KCP their share. Wish we could just bring Svi back and give him a shot to grow into that role, but no chance DET doesn't keep him. Still really hate that fuckin trade for Reggie Bullock

    Javale/Dwight/Cacok
    AD/Morris/Dudley
    LBJ/KCP/Harkless
    Lavine/Caruso/Waiters
    A.Bradley/Playoff Rondo/Q.Cook

Done and done. Enough returning guys to keep the chemistry high. Can still play small. Can still play big. Can still play great. Still smart and strong off the bench. More dynamic in the open floor with Lavine..more easy baskets after defensive stops. Waiters can get a good portion of Playoff Rondo's minutes in the regular season since regular season Rondo sucks for the most part. Cacok graduates to the big club just in case Dwight strays off the path. From there they'd just have to make sure to not let player development guru Phil Handy leave the org. LAL can repeat with that group. No real gambles there

I keep hearing about Chris Paul. Geez, hasn’t that ship sailed long ago. With his age and injury history, I’d pass.

I think they should trade for the Bulls pick or the Bobcats pick or the Wolves pick.
Go all in with the ball boys now that they are signed with Klutch and have their own shoe deals.
Lonzo would sign for whatever is available and Liangelo takes the rookie minimum.
Just so they can all play together. Have them anchor the run and gun second unit.
Caruso and KCP can start in the backcourt if we are out of Rondo.
This team is so deep that they can even improve next year without adding any big immediate all star caliber player.
Instead continue to develop players around AD and LeBron.
Besides i'm sure LeBron is gonna want his son to be part of the Laker family business too.

I think he'd be a good fit on the Bucks.

I would have a hard time rooting for the nut puncher....can't stand him.

Many teams might view Kuzma as a better prospect than most of the players rated to go in the lottery outside of one or two.
Some teams don't rate LaMelo in the top 7 while some think he is a top 2 pick.
Detroit has horrible luck with drafting and anyone any good will leave elsewhere.
Kuzma may not since he is from there and is beloved. He could be the big time superstar in that little pond.
LaMelo could drop to the 7th pick. Either way we can pick up another asset to trade later if we need to.
Rose and Blake give you more scoring punch off the bench.

    PG: Caruso, Rose
    SG: KCP, Rose
    SF: LeBron, LaMelo
    PF: Davis, Blake
    C: Dwight, Blake

I think that 8 man rotation works pretty nice.
You have a young LaMelo as the next superstar Laker in training to pair with AD.
    Perfect staggering.
Blake then becomes a huge expiring contract to trade for a better star the next offseason.
    Like Giannis.
Seeing that they might lose him the Bucks might make a deal centered around for budding star LaMelo for Giannis who is gonna leave anyway.
    That's the Laker way.
Ask Norm Nixon how the lakers sausage is made.

LaVine? oh that would be so nice. I think Green and Kuzma get packaged this off-season, not sure for what though. LaVine would be best case scenario. I think most likely is someone like Oladipo though. I'm hoping we sign Boogie and re-sign Dwight and trade McGee for a 2025 2nd round pick or something to solve center, KCP re-signing should be easy, Rondo and Morris might be more difficult as I'm not sure where that money will come from. We'll have an MLE to use though, pipe dreams are Jerami Grant or Fred VanVleet, but Danilo Gallinari or Goran Dragic are very intriguing. And someone like Kyle Korver could be an end of the bench option in place of Cook or Waiters.

You know, I don't actually feel bad about the chances of repeating if Green and Kuz return. There are just better ways to spend that money - especially with Kuz's extension around the corner. We can do a lot worse than Oladipo, so I hope he's a real option. He should be right up there with Lavine. Although, I do worry a little about Oladipo returning to form after his injury. The old Oladipo hasn't really shown up yet. He'd definitely buy in defensively, though.

Wouldn't mind having a hungry Boogie back. I flipped past him, though, because just not sure if he's gonna buy in and hustle like Javale. Javale makes them so damn long at times and it looks like he was pretty good for team chemistry. KCP damn well better re-sign..they've already loaded him up with more $ than he could've asked for given his circumstances after turning down DET. Gallinari and Dragic are more realistic for the MLE..the whole $10M MLE would probably have to go to Gallanari. I worry about those 2 defensively. If we could get our hands on Jerami Grant - done. Grant is shades of Ariza when Ariza started to come into his own.

1st round pick + Kuz + Horton Tucker + Danny Green for Lavine. CHI gets 2 young talents with upside + their own pick @ #28 overall to add another young player with upside. They'd probably end up waiving salary filler Danny Green at some point. I wouldn't offer any more than that for Lavine. The rest may or may not be up to Lavine's agent to do his best Rich Paul impersonation

Same. The silver lining would be turning the tables on the vetoed trade from nearly 10 years ago. CP3 winning a title with LAL after probably the biggest robbery in the history of the league would be eternally meme worthy. IG, Twitter and Reddit would shut down simultaneously. Can also say that never - did I ever - foresee Rajon Rondo helping us to our 17th title..and I definitely didn't think Dwight was a fit last offseason or that I'd root for him. Can never say never at this point

Given his history of being an asshole, though, CP3 probably would stress team chemistry. Not that LBJ couldn't suppress him enough to repeat, but would CP3's attitude and age kill the dream of a 3peat? Legit concern

Yeah his blossoming game has been stunted the last couple years having taken a backseat, but we have a title to show for it, so I'm good with it. He'll probably find more consistency along with more opportunities elsewhere. Even Zo found consistency in NO..shot 38% from the 3pt line on nearly 150 makes this season. Less pressure away from LAL, as well. Good for a still maturing game.

Teams around the league have seen the flashes offensively, though, so here they come for his services. Scored 40+pts through 3 quarters twice. Dropped nearly 40 on a pretty solid OKC team with LBJ/AD out that one game earlier this year. He's got that aggressive mindset and is willing to work hard to improve + all the length/position switchability that execs like these days + now having seen 1st hand what it takes to win a NBA championship. Like you said, we saw the improvement defensively. That'd be my one worry - can we find the long wing defender to replace what he can do on defense? Kuz definitely had his hiccups defending the 3 ball in the bubble on occasion, but he was hell when guys tried to isolate against him. Would love it if the Kings decided to give Ariza his $2M and drop him into free agency. Old man Ariza would be a solid replacement for Kuz. And Ariza can get his old #3 from AD since AD is supposed to get #23 from LBJ for next year

@Chiefdodgerslkrs24 One guy I don't want to hear anything about is Derozan. Volume guy that doesn't space the floor enough. Pass.

Aside from that, we really don't need to free Popovich of his fuck ups, anyway. That SOB stepped into LAL business last year when he told Dell Demps to block AD from LAL. And that was after Kawhi requested to be sent to the Lakers only to get sent to Toronto by Popovich. Fuck that. Popovich has to wear it at least one more year. Hopefully, nobody bails him out of that Derozan/Aldridge trash pairing

Good news is he should be opting into his deal. There isn't that much $$ in FA this year and he shouldn't be walking away from 27.7 mil.

Derozan trade buzz is what's annoying. That he'd opt in and the Spurs would find a trade partner in his walk year

@ 6:00 Lavine just comes right out and says it after they put the screws to him. " Would love to play with a guy like LBJ....playing with a dominant big would be great, too. " Then name drops LA multiple times. Lol Gettem.

Sign Marcus Morris as backup SF and DeMarcus Cousins as C. Bring back Markief to backup PF and Dwight for bavkup C.
Trade Kuzma, Green, Javale, THT, and Quinn to the Bulls for LaVine or to Pacers for Oladipo or to Sac for Hield or any other team that wants to part for an upgrade at SG/PG that is under 30 and still has upside.
Kuzma is too much of a chip to trade for the last few spurts of D.Rose. He would be nice to get for cheap though.
Shit just Marcus Morris alone makes the team way improved.
He can create his own shot and defend wings and bigs.
Lavine would be perfect fit next to AD as LeBron ages.

    PG: KCP, Rondo
    SG: LaVine, Caruso
    SF: LeBron, Marcus
    PF: Davis, Markief
    C : Cousins, Howard
