Perfect. And May/Gonsolin can be used in games 3-5 as necessary and their arm permits and Buehler/Urias can be used in game 2 as necessary/health permits.

watching the HR's over and over because of course i am
really makes a huge difference having fans in the stands
those $75 nonstop rt tickets are now $400 and the WS tickets min $420 ea x 4
add $800 for hotels, a car and meals and its $4k going budget and getting inside the stadium...
mom wants me to go but i'll enjoy it w her and a bottle of something i like
i love seeing our fans there but have no idea how they make that happen and justify it
should have been some sort of lottery

Best friend's sons live in Austin. They made the trek to Arlington for Saturday's game. They paid $75 for RF bleacher seats.

    No doubt. It truly is.
But the kid had ice water in his veins...a died in the wool stoic out there, and effected neither
by the stress nor the spotlight of those three innings. Talk about cool under pressure.
    That was quite a performance.
I know it's an obscure tangent perhaps, but it made me think about kids like Audie Murphy, who maintained that same type of coolness and purpose under life and death conditions...one is a game, the other is much, much more.
What switch is it in an individual that gets flipped to create performances like that ?

Me too, in a way. Not enough to totally diminish anything we've accomplished, because we fought hard and showed heart and grit...but it would have been nice to have a opportunity to balance the scales with those cheating pigs. But they didn't deserve to be there.
Perhaps a little down the road, the opportunity may come...

I completely agree with this. Fuck the Asterisks - they got lucky to even get a postseason bid. If they managed to get to the WS the story would be them trying to show everybody that they don't need trash can banging to win it all. And it would put more pressure on the Dodgers. And imagine if they did win... having to watch them gloat. Now, instead of having to deal with settling scores and such, the Dodgers can just focus on business at hand - ending their drought.

    Finish the Job!

Something I found interesting, in Walker Buehler's postgame interview after Game 6 he was giving a lot of props to Austin Barnes for getting him through the 2nd inning. We know Barnes is pretty much a guarantee to catch Kershaw games, but I wonder if he gets another start with Buehler on the mound.

Would really like Will Smith’s bat though.

Glasnow and Snell have been announced as the Game 1 & 2 pitchers for the Rays. It's fairly predictable that Morton and Yarbrough would follow.

    Projected starters:

    1 - Glasnow RHP
    2 - Snell LHP

    3 - Morton RHP
    4 - Yarbrough LHP
    5 - Glasnow RHP

    6 - Snell LHP
    7 - Morton RHP

Without a doubt. And Smith would be the DH anytime Barnes catches. A wrinkle in the whole thing is that Kershaw and Buehler are lined up to face the Rays' righties, which means the team will want to load up on left-handed bats. So Smith will probably catch Buehler, I just found it interesting how much he was gushing about Barnes.

Barnes pitch sequencing just seems so much better than Smiths but Smith’s bat is way too good to sit down. Game 1 well see Barnes catching but game 2, I doubt they do it again... although it is a lefty on mound for Tampa I can’t see them doing it
