    need help with this plant i inherited
    doesn't like the shade, starting to dry out
    not good with plants so any help appreciated

    Identify the plant, boyo.
    It may be a succulent, which I grow...very easy to drown by overwatering.

    There are a bunch of apps that let you take a picture and it will tell you what plant it is.
    PlantNet is one, there are a few others.

    Gotta know what kind it is so you can give it the right amount of sin and water.

    yeah i'm guessing the sin levels are pretty high around the Irish household

    Even with experience and the best and most honorable intentions, I have been up on planticide charges many times.

    turns out it’s a southern maidenhair fern

    All I know about ferns is that mrs furley was always fussing over them.

    Try mixing in the powder from an adult diaper.
    It absorbs excess water and then releases it slowly over the following 72 hours.
    Gives you some wiggle room if you forget to wet it.
    Or use one of those self wicking watering sticks that add water when the soil gets dry.

    Ferns remind me of moss and bogs and brackish clay water.
