Newsome/Mayor Pete is an unbeatable ticket! BM and I already have the Prius loaded with our campaign supplies.

I did some follow up on the Chavez Ravine thing, hoping I could ride one woke as fuck script to an early retirement.

Walter O'Malley, an evil/white (same thing) cigar smoking businessman flying in on a helicopter and stealing land from Mexicans to build a stadium. Racist cops carrying them out of their houses. The Boys of Summer being ripped away from working class Jews in Brooklyn. Roz Wynman, the youngest female city council member in history, making it happen. Robert Moses holding the line. The story had it all. So many larger than life characters and so much beautiful wokeness to exploit.

Unfortunately, the real story isn't so sensational.

The city had already acquired the land in 1951, long before the Dodgers arrived. It was bought via eminent domain to build public housing after the war, but it never happened because to the conservative mayor of Los Angeles (based) opposed government housing. The few remaining Chavez Ravine residents in 1959 were basically squatters.

    Fkuck!

Ironic that Juneteenth falls on Father's Day.

I was mostly complaining about his defense which I don't and still don't find to be all that good. His offense has taken a big dive this month and the AB quality just isn't there.

Seven runs is nice. Not so nice is the continuing trend of RISP failures.

Another strong outing for Julio after a shaky start.

Mookie to IL. Never should have happened.

Note to Francona.........I'd give Jose Ramirez another day off.

    May he rest in peace.
I went to see him at Caroline's in NYC once...hilarious.
Also notable that Gary Dell 'Ababate tried to pick up my wife when I went to the men's room.

and like any great comedy Gilbert or otherwise a lot of truth buried in that sarcasm
wouldn't put it past the brilliant enablers to have chosen that day for exactly that reason
