    The 2013 season was one of my favorite seasons.

    First time in my life I actually thought we'd win the WS.

    Amazing comeback vs the Rays

    was at game 3 of that series and he and CC homered
    i think it was over by the 3rd inning and will never forget the Dodger faithful walking through the aisles howling oooooooooh nooooooooo at braves fans
    great memory w the kid

    Vin referred to Dodger Stadium as the Magic Castle throughout the 42-8 run.

    Man, that season was a blast. I used to love walking late at night and listen to Kevin Kennedy on Dodger Talk as we kept climbing back up in the standings.

    It was one of those seasons where you remember where you were for most of those moments. So fun.

    i went to a game w him too and ended up walking around underneath the stadium
    i'd never been down there before and as cool as i thought it was he was irritated go figure

    during the 7th inning stretch today, the cubs played a video of vinny singing take me out to the ballgame

    i remember watching a boring saturday nbc game of the week in the 80’s announced by vinny and joe garagiola
    don’t recall who was playing, doesn’t matter
    was one of those long drawn out 10-0 games between two teams that no one cared about
    around the 7th inning the camera pans to the home plate ump who’s just popped his mask off briefly, presumably because of the heat
    but no, he had removed the mask to spit, which he did poorly resulting in a spray or expectoration for all to see
    surely an uncomfortable for nbc, and not what fans want to see — especially in a horrid game
    all of a sudden vin softly utters, “like rice at a wedding”
    it broke the silence and i couldn’t stop laughing
    what a genius
    the timing, and who knows what made him think of that
    after that joe garagiola was noticeably absent for several minutes
    it was later revealed that he was laughing so hard he had to remove himself from the booth
    meanwhile vinny held it together like he always did

    i like/liked puig but he was his own worst enemy
    ignoring coaches instructions, running through stop signs, overthrowing cutoff men...
    not to mention his lack of work ethic
    there's a reason he's playing in the kbo and not mlb
