Los Angeles Dodgers at Chicago Cubs Game Thread (August 1 - 4)

The atmosphere is great...its a cool spot...and the games are fun to go to. But the park as just a park is a shithole. It needs to go or be heavily heavily renovated.

But everyone is afraid to because of the historical value

 

The only thing I liked about Fenway was that it looks so much different than any other park. Wrigley has ivy and stupid ground rule doubles.

 

Constantly give good run support for their pitchers, one who might be Kershaw in the future.

Wow, scary with Puig near these ancient Wrigley walls.

 

I like Minute Maid Park the best. So fucking unique, looks so cool.

 

Yeah, I've never been there before so I don't really know. I just hate the dimensions.

 

Been to PNC and it is the best MLB park by a mile.

 

I was there a few years ago, I loved it. Even wearing my Dodger gear...but luckily we lost so I survived the train ride back to our hotel.

The fucking worst weather I've eve been in though. I've never seen so many drink people in my life.

 

You really should go someday. It's an awesome experience. The area around the park is great...lots of great food, cool people. I took some shit for being a Dodger fan, but nothing threatening. Chicago is a pretty cool city except the fucked up weather. rain from out of nowhere at any minute...it was 92 out, and suddenly pouring like I've never seen here in CA.

I wish Dodger Stadium had that kind of surrounding area prior to the game.

 

Fenway doesn't suck. It's an amazing stadium. Honestly, as much as I love Dodgers stadium, Fenway probably gets a slight edge due to its charm. It's close though, and Dodgers fans at dodgers stadium >>>>>>>> Red Sox fans at Fenway.

And I doubt there's a better seat in baseball then on top of the Monster. I haven't been able to watch a game from those seats (seen many games at other parts of the stadium though), but sat there during a tour I took once and the view is stunning. If the Dodgers play at Fenway in the WS this year, I might just blow my savings for those seats. Bucket list type shit

fwiw, progressive field is the shittiest stadium I've been to.

 

Yeah it's definitely on the bucket list!

I'd like to see them add some Dodger shops/museums/restaurants in the ravine (similar to Universal Citywalk) but I'd imagine they wouldn't have enough room for parking.

Yeah I really liked the atmosphere at Fenway when I went. I just think it's harder to appreciate older parks more because of all the state of the art things we're used to nowadays.
