    hey chris
you're more on the inside than most (if not all) here
what's the front office's fascination with byrnes?
being fired by the lowly d'bags and pads aren't exactly high points on one's resume
    surely there's something i'm missing?

Yeah, I don't want Shields this off-season. Done with crappy post season pitchers.

Honestly couldn't tell you. I know he worked under Theo Epstein a while back and obviously has GM experience.
He's a " numbers" guy and may work well with Friedman so I don't mind it

Crawford goes to Miami with Puig and others. Ethier stays..valuable lefty pinch AB on the bench..since they're keeping Mattingly they may as well see if he can convince Ethier to ride the pine another year and put up better numbers.

They can solve the reliever troubles in free agency since thats supposed to be Friedman's strength. Whether its Miller and\or Gregerson or some other below the radar guy.

I heard James Shields was supposed to be good in big games.

funny thing about that..Shields may actually be pitching his way out of KC. It may not be worth it to them to keep him as their #1 guy..may not receive a QO..and he's a hometown guy who Friedman knows..just sayin. Shields may be falling into our lap. Lol I'll take him as our #4 arm on the right deal

Just ask Mattingly to work his rotation magic [SARCASM INCLUDED] so that Shields avoid games against the Giants.

Since Shields is a free agent, I doubt they can swing a deal with the Royals for him.

Dodgers brass has already said they will not give up draft picks for Free agent pitchers.

    That's part of "phase 2"

I'd rather they throw 100 coming OUT of the bullpen.

Broxton used to throw 99 for us. Lol

i just want a reliable reliever that can throw hard with good movement on his hard stuff..no homo. David Robertson has a good cut fastball..if he doesnt get a QO he would be a nice target. Although who knows how Friedman will handle the reliever situation or if he will be given the freedom to spend on them

I want relievers that have more than one pitch, that can be thrown for strikes and get major league hitters out.
