yea, dude's got a K problem. that's what they've been worried about. his approach at the plate is a lot like Trout's in some ways. he takes early and gets behind a bit, but then also draws walks too. he gets on base enough to lead off..or at least i'd like to see him get a shot at it.

It feels like you just added all of the it not being the Dodgers to what each originally said.

If you put any stock in Heyman...

The Dodgers might be more likely to deal Matt Kemp than is commonly believed, Jon Heyman of CBS writes. If the Dodgers did trade Kemp, they could rid themselves of a significant portion of the remainder of his contract. Also, the possibility that Joc Pederson will start the season in center field means that Kemp will have to play left, which isn’t his preference. The Dodgers will “certainly” trade at least one outfielder, Heyman writes, and it’s increasingly likely that it will be Kemp.

He also said we were a "player" for Russell Martin, and it turns out we were never really that interested.

Okay my trade proposal for Matt IF we are really set on trading him is to send him to Seattle for Iwakuma and Alex Jackson.

Iwakuma and DJ Peterson for me.

Peterson possibly a plug @ 3B next to Seager going forward into the future, or a replacement in waiting for AGon. we have enough outfield talent coming up the pipeline..we need a young corner infielder.

I picked Jackson because he is a young catcher and not a middle infielder which is where we have some decent depth.

^Well that changes things a little but he could always go back but I based my thought on the Mariners top prospect list which lists him as a catcher.

yea, he's done as a catcher though. they drafted him as an outfielder and he played every game in the outfield this year. don't think he'll be going back. doubt they'll be willing to give him up for Kemp as well.

well, as far as catcher goes we hope for Julian Leon in maybe 4 or so years. until then..we look for a trade or wait for Wieters to turn FA next off-season.

we'd probably be lucky to get DJ Peterson from Seattle in a Kemp deal too because he's not necessarily blocked by Kyle Seager..he's played some 1B amd could switch over. but he's done most of his work @ 3B thus far.

If the Mariners offered us Iwakuma (or Walker) and DJ Peterson... wow that'd be tough to pass on

I doubt Seattle is that desperate though

    • Dodgers sign Buck Britton to minor league deal with spring training invitation: "Britton hit .289/.345/.453 with 26 doubles, 15 home runs and 37 walks in 120 games between Double-A Bowie and Triple-A Norfolk in 2014, the third consecutive season he has bounced between Double-A and Triple-A"
    • Dodgers acquire Mike Bolsinger from Diamondbacks: "Bolsinger was designated for assignment by Arizona on Thursday. Bolsinger, who turns 27 in January, was 1-6 with a 5.50 ERA in 10 games, including nine starts in 2014 for the Diamondbacks in his rookie season, with 48 strikeouts, 17 walks and seven home runs allowed in 52⅓ innings.

The right-hander was 8-3 with a 3.93 ERA in 17 games, including 16 starts for Triple-A Reno in 2014, with 88 strikeouts, 32 walks and six home runs allowed in 91⅔ innings. He was drafted by Arizona in the 15th round in 2010, when current Dodgers senior vice president was general manager of the Diamondbacks."
