    So Headley is looking for a 4 year deal I hear, wonder if the Gnats will go that long on a contract, I know we wouldn't.

    Eh Donaldson is a nice player but we still don't have a deep enough farm to trade 4 prospects and the lynch pin in that trade was a young SS and I have to believe it would have taken Corey to do this deal.

    It was actually a good trade for both teams, given what they each wanted. Toronto wanted a shot right now, 2015. Oakland wants to build their future and still field a decent team now, which is why they got Lawrie. But the young shortstop was the key.
