Bit of a story behind his absence...just so you know, he's OK I believe, health wise and all....just reached a point of no return with a DSP poster and felt it was time to beat it from here.
    Definitely too bad.
    Wish he's come back, but....

See that's what I don't understand. If it's escalated that far where he decided to leave he could have simply used the ignore button.

Also he was like a father figure in my life and it feels like my dad just abandoned me. But to reiterate your sentiments also I hope he does come back.

I miss him too. He was one of my favorite posters here.
But it got to a point where it just wasn't fun for him here.

Agree all the way Craig...if it's no fun anymore, what the hell is the sense of it?
It can be enlightening, informative, funny, fascinating and many other positives on many other levels on here, but when it's a daily bummer (using a my generation word....sorry), time to break camp.
It went beyond just disagreements of the posts evidently, and really, how far does someone take a BB row?

Sad news. Baseball and Cubs legend Ernie Banks passed away at the age of 83.

From somber to a positive note. Congratulations to Clayton and Ellen Kershaw on the birth of their daughter.

Used his thick handled bat model when I was a kid...what a great player. As they pass, slowly but surely, those days become all the more precious...

I read somewhere that the sum total of all insurance premiums was something ridiculous like $500 Billion in 2013.
So roughly 2% of the GDP is siphoned off in a giant protection racket.

Behold the dumbest tweet of all time, Brandon McCarthy retweeted this stupidness.

Chris Kyle gave his life for our freedom to speak and live freely. Marshawn Lynch mocks that freedom and makes millions doing so.

    could this finally happen?
but it would still be one of those mega matchups that don't happen very often
    like lopez/chacon, hagler/hearns, leonard/hearns, chavez/taylor, pryor/arguello, ward/gatti, ali/frazier...
two great fighters in their prime
and like manny's advisor said, props to floyd for coming over to meet...

Mayweather, Pacquiao meet privately to negotiate fight
    By Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com -- 3 hours ago

After meeting in person for the first time during Tuesday's Heat game in Miami, boxers Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao met privately in Pacquiao's hotel suite for more than an hour, reports ESPN.com.

The fellow welterweight champs discussed terms for their proposed May 2 fight, though no deal was struck.

"It was very pleasant and very encouraging, and we give Floyd credit for coming over," Pacquiao adviser Michael Koncz, who was at the meeting, told ESPN.com. "That's the first time they ever sat eye to eye. I've met Floyd many times, but he and Manny had never had a chance to meet. They talked at halftime, but this was a longer, more serious meeting. You could tell by their body language that this was very positive. It was for a good hour or more.

"It was a business meeting, but it wasn't a tense business meeting. I think that's because they both have mutual respect for each other. We'll determine what will happen over the next couple of days."

The long-awaited fight would be the richest in boxing history. Broadcasting and pay-per-view issues remain to be worked out, among other terms. Pacquiao, 36, is 57-5-2 with 38 knockouts, while Mayweather, 37, is 47-0 with 26 KOs.
