Can't even get myself to watch the NHL playoffs without the Kings playing. Can't believe they missed this year, but they lost way too many OT games.

    You guys are crazy.

Maybe it's because I'm a new fan, but these playoffs are great.

Hockey in general has the best playoffs from what little I've seen.

Nothing beats the NHL playoffs. Even with the heartache of the Kings not being a part of it.

No sport comes close to it. Fucking love post season hockey.

    Islanders/Blues Stanley Cup Final.

How about that. The Oilers get another first pick. They will choose a once in a generation player like McDavid and in three years from now they will still suck.

    What a waste.

Lakers gearing up for a charge at Kevin Love..supposedly. not connected to that story is Jalen Rose saying yesterday that he thinks Love and Rondo will be Lakers next year. not all that crazy about either player. still think they'd have a better shot at Love if they dealt for Westbrook 1st. rather see Westbrook and Clarkson in the backcourt next year.

anyway, rumors out that they're looking to deal Nick Young and they were indeed searching for a trade for Jordan Hill at the deadline. maybe if they package both players + Randle and all three 2015 draft picks they could get OKC to move Westbrook. i would try to get Steven Adams back in that deal as well..that's a ton to send for 1 player.

    c- Adams, T.Black
    pf- Love, E.Davis, R.Kelly
    sf- Kobe, W.Johnson
    sg- Clarkson, J.Brown
    pg- Westbrook, V.Blue

good squad. can't say if it's a playoff team for sure being that the west is so tough and it'd be a lot of new faces playing together, but probably on the right path and a lot of cap space opening up the following year because of Kobe expiring and the rising league cap line.

Kobe at SF would be a disaster defensively. He can't guard players like Lebron, Melo, Durant, etc. and that bench, well that bench would be horribad

he can't guard anyone, bruh. neither can Love. also, not many can defend LeBron, Durant, etc. getting beat there is a given.

Yeah, so we'd be watching 120-119 games. I think Love could guard, he just refuses to put effort into that part of his game. And the talent at SG is not nearly what it is at SF in the NBA, Kobe is staying at SG.

Love just can't defend. it's not a refusal of effort. it's that he's really 6'8'', has slow feet, and is not overly long [no homo]. he fights for position on rebounds and that's about the extent of what he can do on that end.

Kobe probably has 1 more season. they're not going to pass on adding more guard talent and developing Clarkson because " he needs to stay at SG ". that's a short-sighted prediction.

I watched him off and on this season, He doesn't even try to guard his man a lot of the time, Love is actually 6'10''. and Kobe is starting at SG, that is a given, Lakers probably aren't getting Westbrook but if they did, Clarkson goes to the bench. Having Love, Clarkson, Kobe, and Westbrook on the floor at the same time might be a problem because all of them need the ball to be successful.

it's a small ball league right now that has plenty of PGs playing SG and the league is overflowing with PG talent, so Kobe cannot keep up with any of these positions. nor can Kobe run around screen after screen and chase guys like Klay Thompson and Korver. what you probably need to do is stop worrying about Kobe. he's gonna be a weakness on defense wherever he plays. teams like New Orleans basically have two PGs..Evans and Holiday..neither one can Kobe fuck with right now. having a Clarkson, a Kobe, and a Westbrook on the floor at the same time is the exact formula that successful teams are going to now. Kobe's skilled enough to catch and shoot and would defer to Westbrook.

as far as Love..i've been watching him play for years now. he gives the effort, he just doesn't have the ability. he would've been fine in the previous era, but teams are playing quicker PFs nowadays so he's at a disadvantage.

I have seen Love several times let a guy score an easy lay up and not even contest it. He sure as hell has the ability to stick his hand in the player's face.

i'm not talking about " several times ", though. i'm talking about the majority of the time.

if you're basing it on the few times you've seen him do something out of 1,000's of possessions..i can't help you.

so basically a few. Lol i'm just saying, based on what you've said it doesn't seem like you've watched more Kevin Love than me. and i'm not even counting college here. every star player has had several occasions where players blow past them for uncontested shots. LeBron had 2 or 3 plays in these last Finals where Spurs just left him in the dust. it happens on occasion.

i've been watching a lot of Love in the pros for about 3 or 4 years now..ever since the rumblings of him coming to the Lakers i've been curious about his game. this is pretty normal for me..i mean i really don't have interest in the rest of the league unless they have a player that's a rumored target of the Lakers. Lol i watched my share of Magic games in the past because of Dwight..watched MWP in SAC and HOU before he got to LAL, etc. also watched some guys that never made it..like Melo..because before Melo turned free agent and had his little visit with the Lakers last summer, the Lakers had interest in dealing either Bynum or Gasol for Melo when they were going for their 4th Finals in a row years ago. Melo was still in Denver at the time. there's a misconception about Melo as well..he can defend..especially the PF position. Melo can move his feet. Love just cannot..not well.
