Did I hear Vinny say that Greinke is 20-1 vs the NL West? That is huuuuuuuuge! That obviously makes him even more valuable to this team. Really hope we still have him next year.

Wow, I just looked it up. Yes, as a Dodger he is 20-1 vs the NL West. Greinke has been incredible.

FWIW: Before signing with the Dodgers he was 2-4 vs the NL West (those 2 wins against the Dodgers).

the " believe meter " has to be in a decent place right now. this is all happening without Ryu, without Kenley, with Juan Rojas at 3B, with Ellis " slashing " .000/.091/.000 at the plate, and it's not even like everybody in the everyday lineup is just ballin either. starting pitching has been far from perfect as well. still a lot of upside here.

    Really diverse too.
    Gonzalez 5
    Guerrero 2
    Puig 2
    Grandal 1
    Kendrick 1
    Rollins 1
    Ethier 1
    Joc 1
Not bad to have 8 different guys with HR's.

He's played in 3 games I believe? Starting pitching has varied. MehCarthy has stunk, but I expected that, Anderson has been good, Greinke has been great, Kershaw has not been good, and until Ryu comes back, that #5 starter is just a huge ? mark. Good portion of the lineup is doing well. Kendrick and Gonzalez are rolling, Joc has been good, Ethier is doing pretty well, Rollins has had his moments, Puig seems to be coming around but his hammy is a definite problem. Uribe has stunk though, and Grandal has been meh, walking a lot, but not hitting much.

    fucken mattingly
wtf is it going to take to get guerrero in the lineup?

Puig, Crawford, Grandal, Uribe out of lineup Sunday
    by R.J. White | CBSSports.com — 30 minutes ago

Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig, left fielder Carl Crawford, catcher Yasmani Grandal and third baseman Juan Uribe are not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Rockies.

Puig was able to return from a tight hamstring Saturday and go 2 for 3 with a walk, but manager Don Mattingly said that the outfielder had a noticeable limp while playing nine innings. Crawford is out of the lineup for the second straight day due to illness. Uribe and Grandal are sitting for the first time in four games.

With several starters sidelined, Justin Turner will bat second and play third base, Andre Ethier will bat fifth and start in right field, Scott Van Slyke will start in left field and bat sixth and A.J. Ellis will start behind the plate and bat eighth against Rockies right-hander Eddie Butler.

    - Rollins SS
    - Turner 3B
    - Gonzalez 1B
    - Kendrick 2B
    - Ethier RF
    - Van Slyke LF
    - Pederson CF
    - Ellis C
    - McCarthy P

Despite the multiple absences, the Dodgers are heavy favorites (-165) Sunday.

I don't get Ethier batting fifth. Despite a decent (for him) start to this season, I'm still mostly seeing ABs resulting in week groundouts to the right side or pop-ups in the infield. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll get all of one again, but sticking him in a prime RBI spot makes no sense. SVS should be fifth. then Joc, and then Ethier or Ellis.

Then again, maybe DM is simply looking to avoid the offensive wasteland that Ethier, Ellis, and McCarthy hitting consecutively would create.

yup, saw that yesterday after the game...
    • until he seemed to run out of gas in the seventh inning, Greinke was his usual dazzling self, running his divisional record since joining the Dodgers to a stunning 20-1.

4 starters out of the lineup and he still isn't playing. DAFUQ? He must've chomped dum dum's ear off like Olivo did to him or something.

Crazy that 4 starters are out and that's still a much better lineup than at any time in 2011. So much roster versatility. No Jerry Hariston Jr. batting 4th

someone mentioned the other day that guerrero was in dbb's doghouse for exercising his option to stay be on the big league roster
i'm beginning to believe that very well may be the case
and, if it is, was a classless/douchey move... let's not put the best team on the field to prove a point
and that point being, we're upset that you chose to exercise something we agreed to
if donnie is doing it because upper management suggested/implied it, fine... then he's just being a good soldier
but if it's completely his doing, then he's an idiot
i like turner but guerrero deserves to be in there

Thanks dick. Might have had more impact had you actually spelled my name correctly. Let me know the next time you need a pass into the clubhouse or a press conference. Oh that's right, you work for a different organization. Man, I liked you so much better when you were just a fan and had no car. Who knew you'd grow up to be such a mean jerk.

    P.S. btw, @doyerfan, @VRP and @DodgerLove, we're still cool
