Legit stoked about Paroubeck. He was on one of my ESPN draft boards way back when for our 2nd round pick and got to see this kid play at J Serra. Unfortunately injuries have plagued him... could develop into being a good prospect if he can escape it.

Barry Bonds is this kid's mentor too if I recall correctly (have fun with that one you fucks).

    Yadier Alvarez (RHP) - $16MM

    19 years old / Cuba

    Scouting grades: Fastball: 70 | Slider: 60 | Change 55 | Control: 50

Fastball that touches 98 mph, with a plus slider and an above-average changeup. Scouts see him with number 2 potential.

    Starling Heredia (OF) - $2.6MM

16 years old / Dominican Republic

    Scouting grades: Hit: 55 | Power: 60 | Run: 50 | Arm: 60 | Field: 50

Scouts see him as a corner outfielder.

    Ronny Brito (SS) - $2MM

16 years old / Dominican Republic

    Scouting grades: Hit: 45 | Power: 35 | Run: 50 | Arm: 60 | Field: 55

Line drive hitter without a ton of power. Lots of speed and a good glove.

    Onil Cruz (SS) $950k

16 years old / Dominican Republic

    Scouting grades:?

Defense forward shortstop. A long awkward swing with very little power. Another SS being compared somewhat to Lucius Fox.

Today has been a great day. Alvarez is the biggest coupe here and has the most potential while being the closest to helping the Major League team and I love him but I think Heredia is my favorite signing, dude also has a lot of upside.

Praying we can grab Martinez too, if so I think it was definitely worth passing on Moncada. It might have been already, just worried about Heredia/Brito becoming players considering they're so far away.

a trade for a certain international/Cuban reliever would be right on time in the next couple weeks. Cincy would have to be crazy, though. i know i wouldn't team Chapman with Jansen in my league. i'd send his ass to the AL. Detroit or somebody like that.

That was a fun day, was a little bummed about the Fox switch, especially since he went to the Giants of all teams, but a good day all around. Hope Martinez does elect to join the club. It sounds like the Dodgers have the strongest offer, but I wonder if with Pederson in CF, it has him thinking better long term options since he is a CF. Wouldn't hate Pederson in LF, Puig RF and a young Andruw Jones in CF though...
I think Gammons had some nice words about one of the guys we picked up that were under the radar. Sounds like Byrnes found a kid that they think could be pretty good (I missed the name though)

Joc has so much value as a center fielder...if they really wanted to turn CF over to Martinez I have to believe that this FO of all FOs would at least look at dealing Joc and taking advantage of that value. But I hate to even think about Joc being traded. It would just fit their MO if they at least looked at moving him. There was a point in which Joc was semi-struggling in CF in the minors, but he looks like he's ironed that stuff out. There's a ton of value in what he's doing at a premier defensive spot.

But damn, I want Martinez on the team too. smh

I'm not sure that was it, they said it was one of the not big names.

Watching Joc play CF the only thing removing him from that position is his own batting average.

It's far fetched to consider that the FO thinks Martinez is 'that' much better than Joc.. maybe but that a longshot since we've groom Joc for years and he's just now showing his prowess.. most everywhere but the batters box ... which most consider to be a short term aberration due to his still respectable OBP
