    Don't make the case to me. Jays fans are the ones trippin on Twitter. You have to admit that if the Dodgers hadn't at least made the playoffs over the last 20yrs, you'd be at their level of misery.

    You're a young guy, right? I'm not even tryin to be funny here...were you alive when the Jays last made the post? Some of you literally were not even alive.

    If that is the case it would seem like kendrick doesnt have a future with us. Peraza seems to be well regarded as a shortstop.

    yeah, I'm at a level of baseball misery considering I've never seen the Dodgers win a WS. I believe I was a few months old when they won in 93.

    I'm kinda happy for them. No lie. Not even mad that they grabbed Price...partly because I think he's still got a good chance of ending up with us in FA, but yeah I hope they kick the Yankees' ass. Of all the teams in the mix, they needed Price the most.

    Nobody "needs" a championship, we just "want" a championship. But, yeah, I get your point - even after all these Ace's moving, the Dodgers still have the best 1-2 punch in baseball. Teams have won championships with a lot less than what we have now. The most important thing is to win our division, and the backend of our rotation was dangerously thin - but now it's not. You could do a lot worse than adding Latos and Wood. TBH, our rotation looks like a strength again top to bottom.

    Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. The FO thinks we have chips but the other FO has to want them. Why is a reason for something ALWAYS an excuse???????????????? I don't get that at all.

    Yeah, my " want list " was totally different from my " need list. "

    I had Price @ #1 and Chapman @ #2 on my want list.

    I had Kazmir @ #1 and Clippard @ #2 on my need list.

    Wood was a nice get, but I'm almost more excited for Latos because of the way he's been pitching since sitting out and getting healthy. He's been pretty damn good over his last 7 starts. He's the rental, though, of course.

    Not winning a WS is one thing, but seeing the Giants win 3 WS in 5 years has been really hard. I think I'd go streaking and end up in jail with disorderly conduct if the Dodgers won the WS....as happy as I would be, it would also feel like a huge sigh of relief.

    The Pirates and Tigers are nearing a trade that would send Joakim Soria to Pittsburgh, reports MLive.com’s James Schmehl (via Twitter). Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review had recently reported (also via Twitter) that the Bucs had interest in acquiring Soria.

    Hopefully that's it. I was worried he might have been called up because Kershaw wouldn't be ready for tomorrow, and they might need someone to start a game this weekend. (Greinke could start tomorrow)
