Initially, aside from all the carrying on, I think this is a pretty good hire for the Padres. He was always thought very highly of, especially here.
I thought he was a bit over rated.

What is there to explain? The dude who brought the players to the team is long gone. The guy whos taking credit for it is the same dude who brought you Yasmani Grandal, infielders Howie Kendrick and Jimmy Rollins, and pitchers Brett Anderson & Mike Bolsinger just to name a few. Is it really that difficult? Its actually quite fascinating. Just for a second think about how much more firepower this team would have right now if not for homedepot and mcbroke tying Whites hands. Take a good long look at the teams top prospects and see who brought them over. Ohh and then take a long hard look at the other players that dude drafted but was not able to sign. It will blow your mind.

How can a dude step into the position he was gifted and manage to fuck it up as bad as he has?

Does the kool aid still taste good? Did it taste good when depo was serving it to you the first time around? Hee Sop Choi wants to say hello but hes not sure you will see him behind the many new adds covering the outfield. Were you able to catch any games yet with out having to okie doke the system? Man i wish my son could hear Vin just 1 time. You would think that after a monster tv deal that basically financed the team the local fans could watch a game or two....

Amazing the amount of revenues this team brings in from tv deals and the collage of adds plastered around the joint and yet Andrew refuses to pay for top flight talent when its already in house. So now isnt it cool, they are bringing up a teenager to pitch. OMG can you imagine the publicity this will bring....i hope it doesn't kill the kids ego or even worse his arm.
If you didnt like mcbroke and depo i cant see how you can like these clowns. And if you did then you already know how that story ended. Only difference this time around is these guys have the loot to sit on an empty stadium....

Now, @LA BUMS, your theory is that all of the credit for the current #1 ranked farm system goes to a guy that had been running the scouting department for a team/farm system that was ranked in the bottom 3rd of the league for years before Guggenheim took over...
...and then you mentioned McCourt's impact on White and that is where your L was solidified because you in essence admitted that ownership has a great impact on the direction of personnel.
    You ethered your own argument.
    Genius.
I didn't have to do much here at all, I'll let you have all the credit. Smh
White deserves some credit, but all?
Nope, because just like you tried to shoot some blame at past ownership, ownership also gets some credit for greasing the wheels for the execs to carry out the mission.
@doyerfan tried to help you here, but I forgot you're that hard-headed " Reggie McKenzie sucks " guy from a couple years back...I must say that my comfort level with the current FO is rock solid now knowing that you disapprove. Lol
BTW, how are those McKenzie Raiders lookin today, g?

I think you're misunderstanding my answer. I'm not saying Friedman and company deserve the credit for those, I'm going above them. The new ownership came in and made it clear they needed to rejuvenate through draft and internationally, and made sure those prospects weren't given away cheaply.

I think Mike Bolsinger was a nice find. :hide:

But honestly, I feel like we're grasping at straws if we're going to complain about players like that.

As a kid i loathed fred claire.
First for trading belcher and wetteland after 88 and then for pedro years later.
I would call into radio to rail against claire... And to get free clippers tickets for doing so.

masquerading as a FO with a reason
threw the towel in to succeed this season

Yeah, that's what I got and I used logic, but you didn't answer my question about McKenzie/Raiders..sup, brah?
You'll be back in a few months and you'll still be sayin a whole lotta nothin especially if the pieces like Montas are finally in place for LAD and they're in better position, you haven't spoken a word since about McKenzie and the Raiders.
You keep mentioning " the framer " as if that's supposed to mean Kemp's bum ass is doing anything other than packing his bags for the AL at any moment here.
And stop biting @blazer5 's " carry on ", you gotta make a point for carry on to land.
