Dayton has performed better than Avilan and he's now on the 40 man, so they may elect to keep him up and send the other down. We shall see though.

So checkin in on OKC, looks like Bolsinger is working out of the pen in AAA. Cotton has taken a step back, in the last 5 games (27.2innings) he has given up 16 earned runs....now we know why he hasn't been called up. Deleon seems to be doing pretty good, last outing - 8 innings, 0 ER, 10K. Frias seems to be stretching out as a starter.....I think he should be in the bullie. Steward is doing decent as well, and Stripling is getting his innings limited.

Rios is absolutely beasting right now. Would love to see him move up to AA and play some 3B with Calhoun and Bellinger across the diamond from him. It does sound like he has some things in his approach he needs to work on. Verdugo was out of the lineup tonight and I'm hoping that it is because he is getting a promotion to AAA, but I'm not holding my breath. It sounds like each of Calhoun, Bellinger and Verdugo are in line for promotions before this season is over as I've read a lot of positives about each. I guess Bellinger and Calhoun are getting BABIP'd to death in a very pitcher friendly league, though still putting up good numbers.

    Alvarez: 4IP, 3H, 4R, 2ER, 0BB and 10Ks

Gave up a 2-R HR to 2014 1st round pick Alex Jackson in the 1st inning, then in the 3rd, hitter reached on his error, followed by a wild pitch, then a base-hit and another error resulting in an inside the park HR.

So overall, he was pretty good.

One thing i've noticed about Willie Calhoun is that his BABIP is incredibly low (.247), for a guy who puts the ball in play like he does (only 15% K-rate), don't think his current .260-ish average is very indicative of his ability.

Guys from Dodgers Digest that watched him this morning were saying that there is no reason for him in LoA and he should already be in Rancho. It will be interesting to see how long he stays there and if he can get moving here quickly.

Also, 68 pitches with 54 strikes.... dude fills the zone

Where do you get the BABIP info? I had said it earlier, but that is what I read through a scouting service, but had no hard numbers.

Dammit rough start so far for JDL! 3 runs in, bases loaded no outs.

    Dodgers should pivot.
Forget starting pitching upgrades through big name FA.
Go with the patchwork pitching staff and load up on offense. More guys will be available late in the year for the playoff push when Wood, Anderson and the like come back from injury and some of our older prospects/cubans are ready for the show.
Move prospects that are at least 2 years away and keep the ones coming next year.
And go for a mega package that nets you Braun, Lucroy, and 2 good relievers from the Brewers like Jeffress and Thornburg.
Send them Holmes, Verdugo, Bellinger, Buehler, Yusniel, Barnes, Bolsinger and SVS.

    Toles/Thompson CF
    Kendrick/Utley 2B
    Seager/Culberson
    Braun/Kendrick LF
    Turner/Kendrick 3B
    Lucroy/Yasmani C/DH
    Gonzales/Lucroy 1B
    Joc/Puig RF

Thats a powerful lineup with more runners at the top of the order to create some action for the Seager/Braun/Turner heart.
And a bottom of the order that has a lot of skill and versatility.
