sources: puig has been claimed on waivers. dodgers can try to work out a deal with that team, if they can.

Yasiel Puig claimed on revocable waivers; likelihood of deal unknown
By Jeff Todd | August 30, 2016 at 4:05pm CDT

Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig has been claimed on revocable waivers, Jon Heyman of Fan Rag reports on Twitter. It is not yet clear what organization placed the winning waiver claim or whether there is any serious possibility of a transaction being worked out.

    Twitter is hilarious:
BREAKING NEWS: Red Sox have claimed Dodgers' Yasiel Puig on waivers, claiming they don't have enough Cuban busts on the 40-man.
Breaking: Yasiel Puig claimed by the Minnesota Vikings and will start week 1 at QB

In other breaking news Tim Tebow has a tryout with 27+ scouts and shows that he can bounce a ball to either 3rd base or the plate and take pitches deep provided they are served from a machine. Further reports indicate that he can hit the ball hard provided its a fastball of no more than 70 MPH and is straight over the middle of the plate. Curveballs, sliders and other pitches not so much.

Breaking News: Tim Tebow sucks at baseball just as much as football.

We now return you to your normally scheduled broadcast.

Greinke facing the vaGiants who are throwing up Cueto.. could actually be a good game except the the Dbags while being quite offensive have no offense at the plate other than Segura and Goldshits.

    he wasnt that bad
scout rated him at 55 power and 55 run
    thats a 2 tool player
i think arm was 45, defense was 40, and hitting was 35
so LF version of Joc Pederson then ;)

i don't get all the blowback this guy gets
that was a pretty incredible run he had at QB in 2011 and they basically run him out of the NFL?
i know some guy named Manning took his job but to say he sucked at football is pretty lame
seemed to me he was run out of the league for kneeling and praying basically
if that happened its a pretty sad statement on society and the league
was he the goat? no way
but the guy seemed to have a knack for competing w what he had
i applaud him for trying to get it done against the odds and an apparent never ending flow of hate

Tebow is out of football the same reason other famed college QBs are out, because he played at a power conference where he played others schools with vastly less talent and stomped on em, but wasn't good enough for the pros. But the difference between college and the pros, much like the difference between high school, college, the minors and big leagues is so big that he was a small fish in a big ass ocean that is the NFL.

I don't hate Tebow, and I'm definitely not one of those guys who bags on him for praying. But he's not an NFL QB. Yeah, he's a competitor, but if you don't have the talent to square up with other NFL stars, it's gonna be hard to be successful.

He also runs around with an entourage and family that have always told him to be him and only listen to what god tells him. He refused direction from coaches in Denver who tried to change his mechanics and when they told him he was going to be a backup to Peyton to learn, he and they all threw a fit and demanded a trade. His PR team is one of the strongest in the industry and a lot of stuff gets swept under the rug because of that. He's the guy in the drowning in the ocean joke where he turns down 3 boats because god will save him.

Curious to see what if anything the Dodgers do today. They really need a RH bat that crushes LHP as this Sunday special lineup is not working for them in any way. This FO has to have something in mind, or I am going to be very frustrated.

Kazmir has responded well to his time off as has McCarthy supposedly. Both are expected to be activated fairly soon. We may be seeing Urias last start this week, though that will be a welcomed sight for me, his velocity has dropped each of his last 5-6 starts.
