Yup, and being that he is friends with LeBron and LeBron has been the alpha of that pack of players since they all got drafted around the same time. Plus if the young guys get sick of Paul it will be a good few years into the thing, they should have absorbed all the good they were going to learn from him. But Chris Paul can ride the last years of his career as a combo guard that plays alongside Lonzo as well as backs him up. Plays good D and is a real good shooter. Like Joe Dumars kinda but as a PG.
I dunno. CP maybe willing to play beta to Lebron’s alpha, but with the young guys on the team, especially Lonzo playing essentially the same position, seems risky.
Basketball IQs are too enormous between LeBron, CP, and Zo to worry about that. Plus, Luke's going to move Zo off the ball quite a bit as a guy that comes off screens as a shooter/playmaker in the half court ala Curry and then Zo has the size/athleticism to defend SGs as well. It works X and O wise, so long as they understand that Zo needs the outlet passes after rebounds as much as possible so he can use his gifts in transition. But I don't think CP or LeBron would buck that..when you're older, you don't wanna have to be bringing the ball up the floor all the time anyway. Only question is, will the Rockets' new owner allow CP to leave or will he fork over a silly 5 year max deal just to make sure fans stay engaged as he begins his new venture
Yup, poor guy, seems like a nice kid, but I'm glad Lakers did not land this skinny white guy. Welcome to east coast basketball Hayward.
Shams CharaniaVerified account@ShamsCharania Sources: The Lakers and guard Vander Blue have agreed on a two-way NBA contract. Blue was released out of camp but staying in L.A. Los Angeles LakersVerified account@Lakers Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will undergo an MRI for a potentially broken nose after being elbowed in the face yesterday. ..great.
DLo scores 30 on 12-22 shooting in opening day loss with the Nets. Hope he's able to shine with the Nets. It was never going to work with the Lakers after the Nick Young snitch thing, but I always thought he could play. He deserves a second chance.
If his defense doesn't get better it's not going to work anywhere. Even Iverson was able to contribute at least some defensive value so his teammates would respect his voice leadership wise. Gonna be a lot of empty stat grabbing going on there with Russell
Bogut will debut in the opener. So I guess that means Kuzma is the 2nd unit's SF About to see some weird rotations..I bet Luke just wishes a handful of these MFs would get hurt
Woke up today already mad at Patrick Beverley. The league already promoting Zo as this superstar..well don't let Beverley get away with all his foolishness tonight
Ugly AF, mushroom head, zit faced MF should take his big mouth dipshit dad and retreat to some remote island with a basketball camp on it!
Lonzo actually had a good game. He would of had double digit assists if his team could actually shoot at a 50 percent clip. If you want to put the blame on a single player... just look at Brandon Ingram’s stat line
More patience needed with Ingram, but he won't get a whole lot of it, at least not from fans..not when he was what held up a Paul George trade. But yeah anybody that thinks Zo didn't play well also probably thinks Zo is supposed to average 30pts
Looks like what I thought they would be....a young team needing more experience and/or a couple of legit superstars.
