if he loses the game or if the team does?
if he pitches well but we don't score, then that's not on him
but if he gets shelled then, yes, people will -- and should -- criticize the fuck out of him

You give players opportunities so they can either sink or swim. Without that, they just tread water.
Dave and this org have been doing that from the get go.
They give you a plank to stand on and then when you are comfortable they start to pull it and say JUMP!
Many players put up great numbers yet are not ready for prime time, like Wood. So he walked the plank.
Others don't seem like much but when shit hits the fan they dont have to be told to jump, they ready.
Which does not mean they will win the game for you but will not be soft/weak.

I wanna see Granderson not do shit all postseason for us and then start hitting bombs vs the Yankees in the world series.
You know, the only series that actually counts for THIS team who you and others have said is a complete waste of time and a failure if they do not win the WS.
Dave agrees with you, so does the FO who at the deadline got us 2 good relievers and a Ranger ace as well as the yet to come through Granderson, and so do I. We all agree with you Blue. Whatever mindfucks the organization plays on fans will be moot when we win the WS.
And if Dave makes every single move in reverence to what the 'fans' think and does everything you want him to do and he loses the WS you will still shit on him and the org. For not getting it done. He will have to own it even if he did not buy it.
