I might regret this in 10 hours but I’m not thaaaaat worried about him. He wasn’t awful against the Cubs. He’ll probably give up a couple home runs in this game but again, you expect the Astros in this ballpark to score a bit. It’s their pitching that isn’t that good and should be taken advantage of.

After thinking about it last night and a little bit this morning, to lose as much as it sucks and factoring in game 2’s bullpen implosion, there is a sight positive to take away. We played the worst game of these playoffs last night and still had a chance to win the game. We got punched in the face, got back up and fought back. We had opportunities but I think we just tried too hard instead of doing what’s worked.

Tonight is pretty much the season. We lose, there’s a good chance this series doesn’t go back to LA, regardless if kershaw is pitching tomorrow. Tonight #thisteam needs to prove they really want to bring a title back to LA. The talking is over, go out and prove it on the field. I think these guys show up tonight and take the momentum of the series back.

I think I'm actually the opposite. I think we'll hit in just worried McCarthy will end up having to pitch 3 innings.

he helped but it was a lot more than just him

i get it, but while all that was great at the time, it doesn't mean shit (or nearly as much) to me right now
getting to the ws will look great on the resume, but the goal is to win it
like tiger woods once said about finishing 2nd, "just means you're the 1st loser."
on a night where we needed him most, he responded with the shortest outing of his career
    he fucken choked
of course, would have been nice to score him some runs but that's a whole other (equally frustrating) matter

I guess that's the difference between the optimist and the pessimist looking at the game...or any game, really.
"We could have won even though we sucked" is probably very true...but " could" win is the way every game ever played is, isn't it? Before it starts. But we didn't...we lost. Two in fact we coulda, woulda and shoulda.
Now, that's the pessimistic side...and...uh, as much as it sucks, also it's the reality.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda are excuses that we been using for years now, and we can't cross the bridge it seems, no matter what we do.
This is the best chance we've had yet, and the timing, hitting, pitching, and moves that got us here have all become, suddenly, things of the past.
    Mysterious.
Whether it is the great Astro team (lol), or whether we are doing it to ourselves
( indeed), that's where we are, once again.
A bp guy who fails us spectacularly, and all on the shoulders of Kershaw.
Another fucking year. And putrid effort from where our strengths are supposed to lie.
I believe we will lose tonight. No faith in Wood at all. Hope I'm wrong. Please.
And then Sunday, we'll have our own, personal, LAD "Groundhog Day"... without the laughs.
Fuck, even Cubs fan Bill Murray learned something from the repetition.
Guess that's only in the movies, though...not for the Dodgers.

If we win tonight I think the series shifts back to our favor. But I can't imagine winning with Wood and this offense

Well Gents, it time for the team to find that 3rd leg again. Walking around on two is fine, but 3 is better. They must get over what happened yesterday and play for today cause if they go down 3 games to 1 I'm thinking it's over. Have to give Houston coaches and players credit, as the have cashed in on almost every mistake the Dodgers have made including the ones by Dave. For the players they have to trust what got them to the world series, and piece it back together. I still believe they can and to stand by them I'm wearing my Dodgers hat out on the tarmac tonight. It's not like the co workers that are cubs fans are gonna say shit, cause they have been so quite you could hear a fish fart in the Bay here in Tampa. Have a good one guys. BEAUTIMUS BLUE BABY!!!

imo the only way we win is to put up a ton of runs early
wood can be good, but he's also afraid of his own shadow...
if he gives up a run or two i could see him curling up in a fetal position in a dugout corner and pissing himself
and with the bullpen taxed, who's roberts gonna call on? fields? mehcarthy???
i know most don't agree with me, but imo this series was lost in game 2 when roberts (again imo) pulled hill prematurely which started the ripple effect of everyone else pitching too much/too early/out of position
    fuck whatev
just score a shit ton of runs tonight and let's beat these fucks

    my sentiments exactly
just an observation, but it looked like our guys gave up yesterday
had seager/turner/bellinger coming up in the 8th, and the best they could muster was k/popout/k
    really pissed at seager too...
had a chance to come back with a big inning w/mccullers walking the bases loaded w/no outs
and he inexplicably swings at the first pitch, and then ultimately gidp's killing the rally and, for all intents and purposes, our chances
have to be smarter than that and get a pitch you can drive
    selfish and stupid

Fuck precedent. Just because they made a bade decision does not mean you compound it with a worse one just because you dont want to look like your original bad decision was actually a bad decision.

What is this nonsense of doing shitty things because well thats how we done it before so lets make the same mistake again and again.

he also spewed something derogatory in chinese showing he's both ignorant and that he had given it thought prior to doing it
jay howell got suspended a couple games during the 88 nlcs for using pine tar (which was a joke tbh)
this is far worse and offensive
