I can't even think about what we can do to get this team over the hump. It should have been this team, but key players did not come through, so now what?

    Maybe another year of experience?

What is clear to me is that we have no chance of our starters don't give us a fighting chance.

Just got home after spending 3 million hours in the parking lot and grabbing a quick bite. I'm not terribly bummed out. Once Darvish gave up five runs, the stakes didn't seem high anymore. The magnitude of the game and moment were gone. It no longer felt like game 7 of the World Series.

It's difficult watching Springer in some of these other guys dominate us. It's tough to watch them celebrate at our expense. It definitely hurts. But I'm not left heartbroken. We truly didn't deserve to win this series.

We had very good opportunities between 2008- 2015 to win the World Series. Now, we are in the era of the super team. And it's going to be very difficult to win a World Series in this climate. You aren't going to draw 86 win teams like the Cardinals or 89 win teams like the Giants in the World Series.

The bottom line is we have not capitalized on her opportunities in the postseason.

I'm not going to stop being a fan. But I'm certainly not looking forward to players like Verdugo, honestly. He seems like a guy who will not only be a bust, but will test positive for ecstasy and marijuana multiple times throughout his career.

I'm rambling. I'm also doing voice to text so if there are a bunch of grammar issues deal with it. Will we ever win a World Series?

Good luck to all of you in the off season. I hope your lives go as well as the Dodger season went, minus the bad last game. This WS shit was not as fun to me as I thought it would be and got worse as I watched Darvish and Roberts destroy the final game in the 1st couple innings.

Proud of the team overall but extremely disappointed with Darvish, Roberts, Kershaw, Turner, Bellinger, Seager, Puig, and Jansen in the World Series.

Sorry that they couldn’t get one for you while you were there. Hopefully we’ll get one sooner rather than later. But for tonight, it hurts.

Carlos Beltran said in the postgame that Darvish tips his pitches and the whole team was aware of it. That was why it seemed like they knew what pitch was coming, cause they did.

That sure looked like the case. Odd that this wasn't spotted by our nerd run team.

    agree with all this
and the better managed team won
imo our pen never fully recovered from roberts pulling hill [homo] prematurely in game 2
i give credit to the astros though
they played well and came through more than we did
yes our offense was flaccid tonight
but kind of hard to get started when you're in an immediate hole [homo]
not sure if anyone else saw this...
but right before springer went deep he looked like he couldn't wait to get in there against darvish
that's what prompted me to post my "it's about to be 5-0" comment
and tough to gauge verdugo, but he looks like shit so far
totally overmatched/overhyped; like lambo, laroche, et al
should have traded him for verlander
of course with our luck verlander wouldn't win a game, and darvish would go to the astros and win ws mvp
    ugh
but yeah, disappointed but not devastated
when do the winter meetings start? :duck:

    I cried. Not gonna lie.

Worst I’ve felt in a long time.

For as closely fought this entire series had been, we laid down and took it from the Astros.

It’s gonna be a while before I get over this one.

I think we’ll get more chances to go to the World Series. Young team. Maybe we can be like the Royals and get back next year, only keep up being good.

But this one hurts. Can’t put into words how much it hurts.

Always some sort of fuckery going on with the pitching
Maybe it is really time for Honeycutt to ride off into the sunset

How pitches did Wood throw in this series? He went 16-2 this year and got only 1 start. Darvish got his ass handed to him in his 1st game of this series and didn't even last 2 innings in either game. I blame this game on Dave Roberts for starting him instead of Wood who helped this team get there all year long. Was the asstros pitching that good to cuff 4 Dodgers batters to a batting Avg under .200? Kershaw came in and gave up only 2 hits in the innings he pitched, and I believe Wood struck out 2 of 3 in the only inning he pitched. You have to go with what got you there in the season. I believe that Woods ERA was better than Darvish's in his starts as a Dodger. And how Dave choose Darvish over Wood for this game is beyond my sight. There has to be a reason or does there.

I'm sorry about my ranting fellow members, and I apologize to any I may have offended. But now it's time to enjoy my LA Rams team which will probably leave me crying as well. I will be here from time to time to see "what's up" All in all I'm still very proud to be a Dodgers fan and will always be.

I think Dave is a good coach for a young and up and coming team.
But he made some serious mistakes that are clearly experience related.
He should have been a bench coach. Gabe Kapler should have been the nerds manager.
The guy they should go get, I kinda hate to say it... Joe Girardi.
I think this is a fireable offense for Dave.
    He misused his assets.
Great guy in the clubhouse but bad decision maker with pitchers.

    Girardi would bring discipline.
Add Utley as the bench coach to replace Geren.
Mikie Maddux as the pitching coach to replace Honeycutt.
The other coaches can stay, specially Turner Ward.
