For as bad as he can be at hitting, Austin definitely has the clutch gene....mad respect

Doesn't matter what month it is. Normally, I'm not all doom and gloom, but damn does it suck to see the Padres actually fucking try while our offense goes limp in key situations.

These aren't the fucking Pirates, Dbacks or whatever shitty team we beat up on. Padres have something to prove and it's showing this series.

The 2021 mini version of Olmedo Saenz.......the Killer Apricot?

Unfortunately it was his catching compadre who failed tonight. He's been pretty strong in those situations in the past.

To add to the frustration, the Dodgers out hit SD (8-4), had more walks (5-3) and one less strikeout. And also held Tatis and Manny to 0-8 with 5 Ks.

Doesn't help when you walk the leadoff man, give up a PH bomb to a .217 hitter with a girl's name and can't come up with a clutch hit to save your life.

Still don't trust Kelly, although I liked how he buzzed Tatis Monday night. Knowing how clueless Kelly can be I doubt there was any intent, but the message was sent anyway..........don't dig in against Kelly.

has he had any big moments as a Dodger? I’m blanking out if he has. He had a decent year last year I guess but nothing memorable. He’s not long for a starting role though, when everyone is healthy Taylor is the LF

Win tonight and you’re still ahead of the Padres, let them enjoy beating us but still staying plenty behind us in the standings. Padres are the only team really beating us and well, whatever. The giants are the main concern to me, they don’t ever fucking lose

You very well may be right, and I'm not looking to be contrary...but that might be exactly the way the team feels, top to bottom. It certainly looks that way. That's a glaring mistake, imo.
It is also the main reason the Padres kick our lame asses, and eventually the very reason they may very well bite us on it come the season end/ playoffs.
Of course it's not easy to win back to hack....we all know that.
But we look a far cry from world champions against these guys.
And those who think they are not our new division rivals are correct. Rivals are teams that go back and forth with W/L.
    We just lose.

0-3 vs the Cubs, 1-3 vs Milwaukee, 3-6 vs the Padres, and 3-4 vs the Giants. Those are the NL teams we have faced that are over .500 this season.

so if i’m doing my math correctly (and i’d like to think i am) we're 7-16 against .500 teams

that paints a very grim outlook for october/november
not sure we'd make it out of the play-in game, let alone the lds

We’d most likely be in the play in game vs San Diego

    yeah, no

team needs to get right. We have injuries and the like, but I also feel like the team has yet to hit a second gear. Maybe it’s due to the injuries or maybe it’s a “World Series hangover”

whatever it is, they gotta do better

That's what has frustrated me the most about this season. We have to start performing better vs the good teams and we just entered a stretch of Padres-Cubs-Giants-Nats(playing really well)

Season is a marathon and we are capable of being as good as anyone with a healthy Seager but I've thought all year long that SD is our toughest competitor.

We swept them in the NLDS but they threw out Richards, Morejon, and Zach Davies. Darvish-Snell-Musgrove-Lamet with a talent like Tatis is scary.

Enough kissing their ass....please win tonight Dodgers.

    @Dodgers
The Dodgers activated OF Cody Bellinger from the 10-day injured list and optioned IF Andy Burns to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

2 out of the 3 back....hurry back Corey.
