Crawford rightly gets credit for robbing Mookie of the game tying hit, but Solano, normally a hack with the glove, robbing Pollock to lead off the inning might have been just as big.

Pitchers held SF to three fucking hits. Deserved better.

My conspiracy theory? The wind knocked Mookie’s line drive down. Just like it knocked Taylor and Lux’s HRs down. Dodgers made 3 .820 XBA or greater outs tonight. They put 25 balls in play, they had hard hit contact (which is classified as hit 95 mph or greater) 13 times, and struck out only six times. They hit liners they hit more liners, hit ground balls the other way and they were all turned into outs. Fuck baseball, what a shitty ass game. This wasn’t a 1 in a million game, this was a 1 in a billion game. No one else loses this type of game but us and no one else wins that type of game but them

Going to throw up…@JeffPassan Gavin Lux hit the final pitch of the game 106.9 mph and at a 22-degree launch angle. Batters this season, on balls hit 106-107 mph and at 22-degree launch, were 55 for 62 (.887) with 38 home runs. The Dodgers had four such hits this year. All were homers. Lux thought he had one

    the blowback demoralized them
even solid hits were like spitting in the wind

Oddly enough, 69% of the time that is a home run according to Mike Petriello. This applies to the Taylor ball too, possibly even more so

To be somewhat fair ( and fuck the Giants) Yaz' ball that Taylor caught at the wall goes out easily.

one of the more demoralizing losses in a long time
i actually felt physically ill after the game
    the wind sucked for sure
but imo still no excuse for not being able to score against alex wood

It's like CO and the light air...it's a mile high for the Rockies, too. And it's not like tne Giants play home games in The Ravine.
Just seems like they are one better than we are, in all phases. And the manager knows not what to do to circumvent it.
Guys like Seager, Justin, and Pollock don't come through. Don't need them hitting only when the team is having it's once a week offensive explosion.
Everyone plays great in a blowout, then go wank off in the corner and give up the advantage we fought for.
A lack or leadership from veterans and manager.
    It'll never change.

That was the most maddening loss I've experienced since game 5 of the 2017 WS.

Unbelievable pitching by Max, Blake, and Kenley wasted.

The Giants were dominated at the plate outside of the Longoria HR and didn't make good contact on almost anything all night.

Just an epic choke job by the Dodgers offense. Wind or no wind, they knew the conditions and there's no excuse not to be able to manufacture a couple of runs vs the pitching we faced. Tons of blame to go around at the plate but it's sad that Justin Turner was the one guy we could always count on in the past and he looks washed up at the plate.

One has to look back at Corey's run last year and wonder how much it had to do with the environment. Prior to last year, Seager has been very mediocre in the playoffs. Crowd noise a little too much for Corey to handle? He has been extremely disappointing considering how hot he was entering the playoffs.

I have zero confidence if Gonsolin starts tonight. Our only shot is Buehler on 3 days rest, IMO.

They’re coming. It might not be this year because Byfield broke his ankle but they have the most young talent in the league

tbh i have zero confidence tonight regardless of who starts
last night was truly a gut-wrenching loss
i don't know if you can recover from it
and even if they do, all it does is prolong the inevitable
they couldn't touch webb in game 1, no reason to believe that could/would change

I watched parts of games 1 and 3 with friends/family and it looks like boring regular season games. ?

Not the intensity I remember from playoff series against the Cardinals, Phillies, Braves, etc in the past.

I always imagined if the Dodgers and Giants ever met in the playoffs it would be nuts.

Maybe I'm projecting my own apathy on others but I swear these games might as well be Wednessay nights in May.

    Anyways, good luck.
