Didn't want to burn one of his few bench players. Good move.

It’s too bad baseball isn’t like soccer where goal differential counts. When we win, we tend to win by a lot. Too bad we can’t bank those runs for Game 6.

It would have liked it better if he let the guy throw another pitch There was no reason to take him out there

I can't help but to wonder if JT trying to play through injury cost us some wins - either down the stretch or now in the post. I appreciate all he's done for us in past playoffs, but there's a fine line between admirably pushing yourself through pain and selfishly hurting the team. If we didn't have to play the WC game, we might have had fewer dead arms in the starting rotation. And yesterday is a good example of the type of offensive output this team is capable of without a nightly O-fer in the heart of the lineup.

You would have a point if there weren't so many other o-fers in the lineup. JT was hardly the only slacker in the lineup.

Boys were down 2-0 before the seats were warm and Mariachi Joe walked off the field with the trainer.

We've seen this shit before and it isn't pretty.

In comes Evan Phillips (who?) and calms things down until CT3 took over (with a lot of help from his friends).

I don't remember a deeper or a bullpen with better stuff than the Dodgers. So who replaces Mariachi Joe? My guess is Price because of his experience, but I wouldn't quarrel with Mitchell White. He won me over with his second half.

Agree...guy's a RP, and had less of a total pitch count than Max did , or Julio in their relief appearances. And they both paid for it. Replacing Mariachi is going to be interesting. Could be Price.
It all worked out, and no matter what happens now, they didn't go down like a bunch of dead in the water wimps.
They looked like world champs last night, top to bottom.
    We'll always have Paris...

How are you guys feeling confidence wise that the Dodgers can pull this off?

I certainly think they have a chance but it's still going to be a tall task.

It's just nice knowing that if we do go down, we go down with our best in Scherzer/Buehler.

IF we force a game 7, we'll get that Morton-Buehler game 7 matchup that many thought we'd get in the WS last year.

it does move back if Houston wins tonight.

Whelp. I have no confidence in tomorrow’s game then without Scherzer. Not gonna lie.

Who is going to start the game then? Anyone know?

    dodgersnation…
    • According to some sources, the Dodgers did not see Scherzer‘s arm bounce back the way they had hoped from his last start. The veteran hurler described his arm as feeling dead after he came out of the game on Sunday in Atlanta. He threw just 79 pitches and made it into the 5th inning in that outing.
