Astros would have swept us. So at least we will be forgotten about tomorrow.

Glad we won last year. But we all know that asterisk is legit.

Doc on the pitch sequence against Eddie Rosario in the 4th.

Asterisk or not, it counts, as much as the Astros win counts against us.

I just hope beyond hope the FO cuts bait with Roberts. He has consistently mismanaged this team to the point that it doesn’t matter how many more arms or hitters you get. Roberts will find some way to muck it up.

He’s the kind of manager that relies too much on a wing and a prayer. There’s got to be a better way to manage than that. He’s had too many resources, too much talent, to just waste it away.

I was lookin at the pitch progression, and on ball 3, I knew Walker was going to grove one for Rosario. The three prior pitches were straight down the middle before ball 3.

It could also be that Will Smith is not a great game caller. I don’t know.

But Walker isn’t asked to pitch this game of Roberts didn’t screw up all the other arms with his moronic tendencies.

Buehler is a big boy, he could have shook him off. 5 cutters and two fastballs in 7 pitches is a joke. Rosario pummeled fastballs all series and the dodgers kept attacking him with fastballs

Agree. Veteran pitcher is the final veto. He shouldn't throw any pitch in which he doesn't have full confidence.

What ever happened in the end, by whatever fate decreed, we had our shot, no matter what Buehler pitch Rosario creamed.
We had a great chance to tie, or even go ahead, Matzek went through the men on second and third , no outs situation like shit through a goose.
I wouldn't have sent Pujols up there, nor Souza, but Dave Roberts is our manager. Betts flat out SUCKED, all night long.
Remember: just because it doesn't work out, doesn't mean it's the wrong move... " just because", Dave says. It sounds like the title of a children's book.
Words to roll your eyes at and laugh...
So we had the opportunity, and failed like little, overmatched children.
We definitively were shut down when it counted most, and Snitker had Roberts' number head to head when it counted most. Dominated.
I have a feeling the off season isn't going to be anything like we want or expect it to be.
And the biggest problem we have, isn't going to addressed, or be moving on.
