Watching the end of Braves-Phillies and Kenley walks Bohm on 4 pitches only to throw a meatball on the first pitch to Harper who hits it 440 feet. 5-4 Phillies in the top of the 9th. Ouch

Already hated by Braves fans. The Phillies did return the favor and lost 6-5.

Jeez... Joc had himself a game.

Even though he's wearing pumpkin, I just can't bring myself to hate him.

    a good night indeed, but…
    • Pederson was 4-for-46 in May heading into yesterday’s game.
unless he visited balco with barry, his limitations (particularly against lh pitching) will not suddenly disappear

that said… yeah, joc’s a hard guy to not like (homo)

Has to be the craziest game of the season so far.

8-2 Giants, 11-8 Mets, 11-11, 12-11 Mets, and then Diaz has 2 outs, nobody on and gives up 4 hits to lose the game.

Gave me flashbacks to last season. Enjoying the 6 game lead on them right now but I hope we keep our foot on the accelerator because I am sure those fuckers have many runs in them.

What's up recently with men slapping other men? If it's egregious enough to fight, then fight. Otherwise learn to check your emotions and leave the slapping to the ladies.

Kind of crazy that in the NL, there are only three non division leaders with a winning record. Meaning that if the season ended today, just one team above .500 would miss the playoffs.

    Yeah. Definitely.
Not like it was over some missing Legos or anything serious like that.

Question for the dinosaurs: Who was your favorite old time Dodger leadoff hitter? I'm assuming Pee Wee and Maury batted leadoff, maybe Willie Davis? Lopes from when I started following the team. Brett Butler, Furcal... others.

The guy we have right now is pretty good... and if he stays healthy may record one of the greatest seasons ever in the one spot.

This version of Mookie is another world good.

I'll go back to Maury Wills. Everyone in the ballpark knew he was going but he stole anyway. Entire Dodger Stadium would yell "go, go, go." Nothing like it.

Gnats are already down one. If this holds, they'll get swept by the worst team in either league.

    Good stuff.

In a goy society the genteel make laws forcing gentlemen to display their aggressiveness in lawful ways that won't bring about a felony but merely a misdemeanor.
In many cultures over time it has been illegal to use an open fist.
Adjudicators know thr law so when dealing with the gentile they give the other cheek.
At the end of the story thr slapper always comes off as weak.

    Sure were.
Saw a game in Jersey City, when the Dodgers played each team in the NL once in Roosevelt stadium. 7 games, lol.
It was Don Newcombe vs. Johnny Antonelli, a damn good NYG pitcher. I was.just a kid, but I think they both went all the way...Dodgers lost 1-0, on a Willie HR. Posted this before.
They didn't pinch hit for Newk back them...he could rake at the plate.
Where would something like that happen again? I don't believe it possible in today's game, or at least highly improbable.
Another reason why I think Orel's record stands forever.
