Haven't seen anything about re-signing Turner, but did see the McCutchen interest. As a secondary type move, I wouldn't hate it. We need a couple outfielders, IMO.

McCutchen or JD Martinez platooning with Outman wouldn't be awful. Though JD should see minimal time in the outfield, if we do sign him.

    • The Giants have an offer on the table "believed to be [in the] $360 [million] neighborhood" for Judge, reports MLB Network insider Jon Heyman. However, the belief among rivals is that the Yankees remain the favorites, Heyman notes.

What's happened so far, or maybe hasn't happened so far, is a joke I wouldn't have even dreamed about in my worst nightmare... I mean a team who wins 111 games and 1 in the post season, just don't do anything substantial about losing a pitcher like Anderson, a really dependable RP like Martin, a superstar ss like Turner...
I guess I just don't get it...but it does seem like they just don't give a fuck. Like " too bad LA fans...you can't have a winner every darn year"...
    McCutchen? Are they fucking serious?
    And Profar is laughable ?

And when we sign Correa for more money than turner, who's better, it's going to be disappointing

    lol under by like half

I said it somewhere else, but kudos to the team (the Cubs) that can actually turn him around. If our staff couldn't figure it out for him in 2.5+ years and another team can, good on them. Would suck to see him return to form but it doesn't seem like it would have happened with our squad.

A few days ago I read my first "WS or bust" comment of this offseason, pertaining to the Dodgers. How often have we heard that before? Look, that mantra is COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY meaningless if the team continues to employ a loser at the helm. There is no "or bust" if there are no consequences. "Or bust" means if you fail, you get fired. THERE WILL BE NO FUCKEN WS FOR THIS TEAM UNLESS THEY CHANGE MANAGERS. It's so ridiculously mind-boggling that Roberts continues to get votes for manager of the year. Jim Effin Tracy and Grady Little could've won 111 with that lineup. We can sign Judge and win 115 this time and will still come up short. But Roberts is one of the guys, he'll keep everyone loose in the clubhouse, right? I'd rather have someone that'll light a fire under their asses. Why didn't we make an offer to Bochy??? At some point the front office has to decide what's important to them... ethnic diversity at manager and a bunch of regular season wins, or someone who has the skills to lead all the way. Sadly, I think that question has already been answered.

If losing to the Padres wasn't a wake-up call, nothing will be. This is the most down on the team I've ever been in an offseason, and that includes all the years with anemic rosters. I guess 2023 for me will be all about rooting for CK to get his 200th win, and maybe if Father Time grants him a favor and he stays healthy, a late season run at 3000 K's.
