I know virtually no one is into cycling in this country but since this site is full of baseball fans and both sports dope like crazy I thought maybe some of you might be interested

The alpe d'huez is tomorrow and for the 100th anniversary the tour organizers decided to make the guys pedal up it twice in one day. Dope up fellas, tomorrow is going to kick your asses.

Yeah I get the Tour and had it taping while I was in China and watched 5 episodes each night when I got back.

    Froome has been a beast!!

and its nice to see Contador competitive in his post steroids era

and the young Colombian in the hills has been interesting

And the two Americans each in the top 10 in the Mtn time trial... that was cool

Looks like Froome unless Contador steps it up big time...

One day remaining in the Alps and then it won't matter

I was just thinking how nice it was to have such a knowledgeable broadcast team for this sport. Phil and Bob were superb. All the essential competitive points without belaboring the obvious. IMO they are FAR more informative than 95% of US MLB and NBA and NFL broadcasts.

On the scale of 1 to 10, 10 being Vin Scully
    I'd give them a fair 8 to 8.5

which is saying a lot cuz I still call Vinnie the gold standard

Agreed they do a great job with the commentary. It's amazing what can be done when you ignore the lowest common denominator and speak to the intelligent side of the audience.

5 a night? That's insane, each stage is 4-5 hours.

not so much... DVR helps with fast forward...

they were mostly flat stages early in the race...not so much going on...
