That he's even the conversation for a roster spot is a joke. We've already got a player who can't play a position in Shohei. Don't need another, especially one with so few ABs since his injury.

 

A night of zeros at Buttplug Park by the Bay.

Dodger pitchers putting up zeros. Giant hitters looked like Danny Almonte vs. Little Leaguers. That was Cy Skubal. Could have easily gone 9.

Zero was the number hits the first three in the Dodger lineup could manage. Zero was also the number of runs they scored in eight of the nine innings against a bunch of Giant shit flingers. Just four ABs with RISP (0-4).

Pleasantly surprised that Pages has come back so strong. HR, stolen base and showed off his gun in the OF. Nice to see Will regaining that short stroke. Looking like his old self.

 

Yeah. Pitching OBVIOUSLY superb. The lineup sucks. Bare minimum.
This formula won't work in the post season games because they won't be facing an AAA lineup like SF is forced to field. And who were the pitchers who held them to 2 runs ? They sure aren't who they'll face, either.
Idk. These numbers look pretty bad for going deep into the post.
With this kind of milquetoast offense, should any starter stumble ( like Yamo did), we look anemic.

Guys on the roster who haven't hit and can't play a position, like Rushing is one problem, but the elephant in the room, imo, are guys like Ohtani and Muncy, who are fucking useless right now.

 

How I feel about the October-to-come:

 

Giants pissed Skubal off, scoring 4 runs off him last week. Looked like Skubal was motivated last night.

Hope the Dodger hitters view fat boy Wilkinson in the same light after he shut them out for five innings in his last start.
