    definitely thread worthy
    wasn't always the best player
but he gave you 100% of what he had... always
the fire and passion he played with was something you, unfortunately, cannot teach
    thanks for the memories andre!

My favorite ever. Should’ve went out with a ring.

I still think he could wake up today and have a better at bat against a right handed pitcher than Logan.

He was awesome and fun as hell to root for and watch as a Dodger. His career going from exciting prospect, to core young player, to versatile outfielder, to professional team first veteran... Man, really wish he would’ve gotten that ring last year.

Fire Dave and Hire Mike Scioscia to take over with Ethier as the new hitting coach and Nomar as 3B coach and the bulldog as pitching coach. Utley as bench coach being groomed to take over the manager job when Mike has his final major heart attack.

The first two words of Rube's scenario are gospel.
We won't get there with Dave, imo.
    And he'll be extended because...ummm...elite!

Just mad cuz I didnt include Jerry Hairston.
Fine, he can be the defensive shift coach.

Dammit to hell going to the game on the 5th of August a day after the festivities. What's all this Doc hate, he got us to our 1st WS in 29 years and he sucks all of a sudden? Did he give up the HR to Marwin Gonzales? I think you guys just don't like him because he's Japanese :D

I don't get all the consternation about the Kike game. Yes, he should have thrown Hill out there and at times he micromanages the pen.

But he wasn't the one who went 3-21 with RISP in that series and 1-7 in that game. No excuse for scoring only 4 runs in 16 innings in that launching pad.

No matter how inept and meek we were in Philly we were "well prepared".

he's made some questionable decisions/calls that have cost us
if he gets too much blame than he gets too much credit as well
yes it was darvish who lost the ws for us on the field
but it was roberts who started him, allowed him to come out for the 2nd, and then kept him in after the first two hitters reached
funny how he had such a quick trigger with hill, but left darvish out there to get shelled -- especially when he had a well-rested wood [no homo] and kersh available... but enough on that

the kiké decision was, at least to me, inexcusable
especially when it was buehler (and not hill) starting the next day

i don't hate roberts, and we often fail to acknowledge/remember he had literally zero managing experience coming in
and he is 1000x better than [arguably] anyone else who followed tommy
too much credit, too much blame?...
    perhaps
sorry, it comes with the territory

Everyone thinks their manager is the worst.

    That's just baseball.

His micromanaging gets on my nerves. I agree with the game 7 thought, as much as I hate remembering that day. Darvish had nothing that series and Wood deserved to start. He threw his heart out in game 4. Pulling Hill in game 2 because the bullpen got him to the series made not a lot of sense. Cuz you're just gonna burn those guys.

I completely get that is comes with the territory but we are in 1st place after that shitty start and in the national media have been touting the job he has done consistently. Not going to affect what he does in the future because of what we say but the timing of all the criticism surprised me.

As for the Kike thing there was a game the next day at 1 ish so Doc AND Honey wanted to save those arms. Sometimes you pick your battles and lose one to win wars I had no problem with it.

    we're all fans
fans are defined as fanatical and, thus, are not always the most rational individuals
i myself fit into this category, and i'm sure -- to some degree -- we all do
fans need to be allowed to voice their happiness and displeasure, no matter how anyone else feels
that's what forums -- and dsp in particular -- are all about
and the fact that we all have different thoughts, ideas, and don't always see eye-to-eye is what makes it interesting
some think roberts is a hack, some think he's a genius... i'm going to go with [the oxymoronic] he's neither, yet both
maybe i just like the asian side of him... or maybe the black, er, african american side
    politically correct racist

it's only your lawn because you took it from the indians, er, native americans bkitch
    pc racist 2.0

Yes we are as a species (fans) are crazy but we also have brains and can see when something good is happening. 1st place man enjoy the ride it may be gone before we know it.
