    The team has come to the conclusion that he won’t be 100% this season. Plus, the emergence of Max Muncy is allowing them to give him extended rest right now. There’s no reason to push it when he and maybe even Bellinger are doing so well right now.

    Dave said his wrist is getting better, he's available to hit today, and they're trying to take advantage of the off-day tomorrow.

    I'm hoping they're jsut taking advantage of the crappy division and getting him geared up to be a force in the second half

    Sucks to lose a year of this guy when he's already advanced in age. The only guy we absolutely cannot afford to have suck when the playoffs arrive. The team goes as he does.

    Sounds like Maeda will be back in the rotation on Wednesday. This is the second time since joining the org where he went on a dominant run after making a change to his mechanics then he went down soon after. Last time he wasn’t close to the same guy, let’s hope this time is different. He’s a valuable #3 when he’s on and we need those kind of games right now from our starting staff.

    Maeda is underrated. Higher floor than anyone other than Kershaw and Buehler, imo. He's been mostly reliable and quite versatile.
