Pirates are only 2.5 back of them right now....I'm pulling hard for them to win the Central and leave the Cards facing Arrieta in a do or die game. Avoiding facing the Cards would be best for us, but it's not even just about that.....those fuckers rank 2nd behind the Giants on my hated teams list. And it's a very close 2nd too....it's one thing that they beat us and play like punks against us, but the fact that they roll over vs the Giants? Fuck them
I truly hope so...I really like the kid; I think everyone does. I want to see him succeed at a much higher level the the breathless temporary tape measure HR status he enjoyed earlier this season. He has it in him to be a much more complete ballplayer...but needs focused schooling. I don't know how , really, he gets to The Show with such a blatant flaw as he has...someone is not doing their job down there, obviously...take that to the bank. Look at the difference between Joc and Corey...it's night and day as far as approach and demeanor. I just don't want the kid's career highpoint to be that stupid fucking HR Derby...which BTW, he lost. Useless fucking albatross around his neck for him. He's capable of so much more...needs to be unlocked.
