Verdugo has his head up his ass. Doubled off first by a mile, then the lackadaisical throw to Pederson.

Nailed it. And regardless of how it all ends, Kasten will point to attendance numbers and tell us how happy fans are.

The joke is, however, the wave doin', fat asses in the seats every year, beachball hitting, Dodger Dog eatin', cell phone using, fans are fucking happy. Happy as pigs in shit. And when some glaring obvious annual shortcoming spins us right down the loser bowl as it always does...no problemo for them. There's a whole next year for fun in the DS sun !
The ultimate joke is on us, always on us, the small percentage of fans that watch every damn game because we're blue bloods until the end, from every corner of the country.

It disturbs me that now having a potent offense, it’s coming at a time where we have a declining star SP, an oft injured and frankly old curveball SP, and a BP that is unreliable...with a closer that has burned the team in the past.

    What doesn’t the FO see?

Granted, they have made big moves by getting Darvish (which turned into a crap fest), and Machado (who turned out to be a turd), but why didn’t they pick up Kimbrel? We need some tweaks in the BP. This should be achievable, no?

    Poor attendance numbers.

    Light work today for Stras.
Not so sure this potent offense is ready for Stras-caliber starting horses in the post either

Yeah, but if you look at the current potential rotations of playoff bound teams, the Nats have arguably the best staff. The Yankees stink. The Stros have a good staff....but not sure they are as good as they were 2 years ago....the Twins are meh, Atlanta has a good staff. But nothing really stands out.

Eh, the thing about the Nats is that they’re perennial chokers, their manager is one of the worst in the NL, and they’re bullpen is not only bad, but Martinez over uses them.

I’d be more worried about SF, St. Louis, Milwaukee, atlanta or Chicago

Yeah, could also see Hamels or Hendricks standing up to these guys..wouldn't necessarily want to see lefty Lester late in a series either. ATL is OK and wouldn't nap on Woodruff. With you on DC..LAD likely won't even sniff Stras, but they'll have a good shot at finding their way around Scherzer and Corbin.

That aside, AL-wise, we saw that Verlander only needed one guy to stand up with him in order to get LAD to trip over it's own shoelaces. This year's Yankees would be pretty close to falling into that same 2017 Astros category if they were to get one of Tanaka or Paxton on track before the post and/or make a deal pretty soon here. LAD had better not sleep on anybody from the AL side. The Rays would be scary with their staff, as well

A clunker indeed but shit happens. I'm NOT happy with Joc however the throw should have been very simple but he botched it. The pop-up he barely missed was a little more understandable but nonetheless frustrating!!! Not discounting the NL but the threats are in the AL. Still awful early to go bat shit over who we could eventually play so I'll just go bat shit over the trade deadline. I'm going to try and just ignore the rumors until something ACTUALLY happens that affects OUR roster.
