    Last year they tried MehCarthy out of the pen in late September, and he got fucking shelled. He then cried to the media that they should have never put him in that position and he can't and won't pitch out of the pen. So yeah, probably not going to happen with that lanky little bitch.

    On the otherhand, haven't both Ryu and Maeda done BP stints with success for limited innings. I think they would work fine for 3 innings of relief max.

    Yeah, they did. I trust Stripling as much as Dave trusts Alex Verdugo, so I would far prefer one of the BP bros.

    well the asian persuasion has always been my first choice out of the pen but i keep hearing it can't or isn't going to happen
    if mehmeh is actually coming back he's not cracking the SP that i can see so if he wants to pitch he better stop being a bitch
    we have serious holes in this BP
    then again we are taking on water everywhere seemingly

    I checked out for dinner last night shortly after they went up 2-0 and Darvish was throwing pretty well.

    So glad I missed the rest of the game. Watching what has become of Baez is torture.

    Avilan and Cingrani have been good... Stripling was doing well also but has had a couple rough outings. Same with Watson

    So my best bet is a mix of those 4 getting 3-6 outs.

    Need this because Puig has been terrible in the 5 spot.
    Nearing 90 plate appearances in the 5 spot with a .187 batting average, .678 OPS.
    The 5 spot is just too close to the action for him.
    Grandy is the guy to bet on, with his .800ish career OPS in October..Doc definitely needs to stick with him.

    I don’t know if it’s even gonna take an off-season for Honeycutt... Cingrani’s first outing was rough and it inflated his ERA, but even with that he’s striking out 13.8 batters per 9 innings and only walking 1.8 batters per 9. Not giving up home runs... his stuff looks great and he’s getting the results. He might go back to his previous ways but right now he and Avilan look like our 3rd and 4th best relievers

    Yeah...I don't know how you go from one team ( Reds) where you flat out sucked, and then to another where you are absolutely fine.
    Can't really be attributed to Honeycutt already, unless there was something a acutely wrong that CIN missed , and Honeycutt saw...but whatever, I have changed my opinion of him.
    Watson doesn't look too bad either. Another initially wtf pickup for me...
    It's just the offense and defense and pitching and bp and manager now.
    Lord have mercy on us...
    Protect Us O Lord From the Wrath of the Northmen...
    And East and Westmen...
