    so you’re saying we’ll lose 4-2 instead of 14-2?

Somehow we'll struggle to score 2 runs a game in Coors.

Can't take advantage of Coors if you swing and miss at every pitch...

Watch Roberts call for bunt after bunt after bunt in Coors Field of all places.

The Giants had the Rockies beat in every game of that series before the Rockies did the exact same thing they did to us. Late game Coors Field heroics. We are getting into that time of year where the ball flies here due to things really drying out and magically, they just happen to fly a whole lot farther in the bottom halves of the 7th inning and beyond. Fully prepared for 3 late inning come from behind "spectacular" home team wins and the Dodgers players making October vacation plans by Monday.

They soak their balls in Coors light during the first part of the game and bring them out for the 7th inning.
Soaking your balls is probably all Coors light is good for anyway.

There have been numerous complaints from teams over the years that the balls seem to get a different feel as the game progresses when the Rockies are losing. I’ve also heard from folks with ties to the club that there is a spot in the humidor that they keep certain balls as well. That could very much all be bullshit, but it would not shock me one bit if we eventually find out that they fuck with the balls.

    They fuck with the balls.
Thats why I made the coors light joke.
They have home cooking going on for sure.
We should put the balls in a freezer with dry ice for the 9th inning, see if our leads hold up.

Couple of things to note before this weekend from hell in Denver.......(from the LAT)

--Yasmani Grandal drops more balls than a drunk juggler. I don’t care how great a pitch framer he is, it doesn’t make up for his other defensive deficiencies. He is in the bottom half of the league in errors, passed balls and caught stealing percentage. The word “catch” is literally in the name of the position, so he might want to work on that aspect of the game. Oh, and in the last month he is hitting .133. Odd fact: Even though he has been horrible at the plate for most of the season, Austin Barnes (.340) actually has a higher OB% than Grandal (.339). It will be very interesting to see if the Dodgers re-sign Grandal in the off-season.

--Brian Dozier is hitting .196 since the Dodgers acquired him.
