It sounds like we need to feed Arozarena a heavy diet of breaking pitches. Guess he is feasting on the hard stuff.

39 pitches.... 63 with warm ups between innings +whatever he did to get ready. Guessing it was too much, but curious to see if they go to him for Game 2.

BTW, loved having Joe Davis in the booth. Had an announcer that was happy when we did something big.

Keep the ball up. Ball isn't flying like it was in CA.

How awesome would it have been if the Astros won game 7 and we win game 7 and when Corey gets the nlcs MVP award he just takes the mic and says "We're coming to take what's fucking ours." Drops the mic and just walks off hahaha

Fuck the Astros. Glad they lost. Shouldn't have even been in the playoffs. Great fucking win let's do it 4 more times!!

    What a fucking series!

Did it seem to anyone else that it took an eternity for the final out to drop out of the sky into Cody's glove?

Anyhow, I love the heart this team showed in the last three games. Reminds me a little of the '88 team. I could see Mickey Hatcher sprinting out his HR and meeting these current players after crossing the plate. The '88 Dodgers were underdogs that believed in themselves. Our current team are not underdogs, but down 3-1 they definitely were yet didn't lose the faith. Now they have to keep playing with that same fire for four more wins.

    Finish the Job!

Another option for Game 2 could be Buehler on short rest. He would get extra rest after that, plus you could have Urias, Gonsolin, and May rested for Games 3 and 4.

My issues with Buehler on short rest is it doesn't get us an extra game for him in the series like a game 1 start does and a benefit of short rest usually is your breaking stuff has a bit more bite to make up for a usual decrease in velo. That may not be beneficial for him with the blisters.

I've got "Me and Julio" stuck in my head, thanks to @LAdiablo . But hell, the kid was perfect all the way through the lineup and now has more postseason wins before age 25 (6) than anyone in history.

Okay. I'm still celebrating for now, but Game 1 is only 2 days away. With all our pitchers essentially burned because of this game, I guess CK goes game 1(?). Gulp.

Do you guys think the Braves got a selfie with the dodgers on the field celebrating with the trophy?? Acuña can practice his jumping celebrations for next year when they lose the wildcard game:mad:

He threw a handful of hittable pitches. Hung a slider or whatever he calls to Swanson for strike three.

Key was he threw strikes. No fucking walks (unlike the opener). May will be just fine. Not sure that opener role was best for him.

A bit of irony. Last time there was a shortened season Rick Monday hit a game winning HR late in the game to send the Dodgers to the Series, which they won.

Last night Bellinger did the same in a shortened season, so.............

I agree with this. And with Buehler being the one guy we can count on, it's probably best not to mess with his usage.

The more I think about it, May is definitely the guy to go in Game 2. It feels like he's been pitching on 2-days rest all postseason, and his last 2 outings were wild, but hopefully that's more nerves than anything as his velocity has been there. 2-3 from May with a couple innings from Gonsolin, who also would go on 2-days rest but he hasn't pitched a lot this postseason, and we are good to go. I don't think Kershaw is 100% healthy, so it could get messy if he is a Game 1 scratch. I wonder if someone like White gets consideration for the WS roster just in case things go south in the first 2 games and we need an extra long man?

I'm overthinking it though... 15-man rotation, 2 days off in the next 4, no travel, we can roll through that with a lot of punches. Plus the Rays offense isn't nearly as demanding as the Padres and Braves were. Easy sweep!
