    was one of the few pen options when scott and fatty yates struggled
    and stayed solid when casparius, banda and dreyer wore down
    he’s also a proven postseason stud
    he’s earned a long leash imo
    too bad his peanut brained manager doesn’t have the sense to put struggling relievers into non-stressful situations to let them find their way back

    I remind myself that options are limited due to injuries, but the one I can't justify no matter how I look at it is Conforto. They're doing more damage than good by sending him out there, because he can't be relied on down the final stretch and/or the playoffs (even if he heats up, we can't count on it lasting). Really wish they'd let him go and give Ward a shot, while there's time to see what he can offer.
