what blows me away is seeing families or groups of six or more eating and drinking like its the end of days
you can see they're salt of the earth, hard working mostly Latino families these days and they're all in
like 5 years ago they had set up that little standing bar rail behind the entire field section and it was a party
that was a lot of fun and i'd meet strangers laughing and talking shit while fist bumping and checking out the crowd
and dudes were just bumping back and forth w beers two fisted drinking
you can see them in cars heading out onto the freeways w you its pretty scary
i like a buzz but these guys are getting shit faced hammered and must be dropping six or seven hundred for no apparent reason
you know the stadium concessions just love that kind of client
all those promotions for the first 40k are designed to get them there eating and drinking hours before game time
ever see that bar under the left field stands?
people pay all that money to go to a game and then sit in a dark bar in the bowels of the stadium
weird shit but its sure not about enjoying a baseball game

 

Did Disneyland and Dodger Stadium back to back a few weeks ago with the grandkids. Only way some families can afford it (if you call it that) is maxing out a credit card. I was (and am) old school. If I can't make the monthly strokes on the card I can't afford it.
