Still sporting a tangover today (Tanner hangover). Dude really knows how to ruin one's day.

I despised Kimbrel on the Dodgers. He set the team record for most blown saves in a season... I believe it was 7. Scott now has 10. Imagine how well this team would be positioned right now if he only did his job. He's essentially cost the Dodgers a playoff bye and potentially more.

Roberts absolutely has to stop trying to draw from that well. Does he not realize the division's at stake?

scott has essentially sucked from day one
and yet roberts keptkeeps putting him out there in a position to fail
at some point (say may, june, certainly no later than july) it should have been clear (even) to roberts that scott should not be closing games
if roberts had started using him in low stress spots to help build his confidence back up, maybe — just maybe — scott could have recovered
but now (and you can see it) his confidence is completely shattered and — let’s be honest — he is totally useless to this team
there is no way he should be on the postseason roster, and yet he probably will be
and that, ultimately, will be one of the many things that costs the team in this (likely short) postseason run
where have you gone ben casparius?

 

Yes, the blame is more on Roberts than Scott. It's like Davey thinks he can force him to be good again when it's obvious to everyone else that he just doesn't have it.

I'd take even Diaz in the 9th over Scott, and that's saying something.

I'd argue that the most significant Dodger injury of the year was Phillips.
