Freeland starting to show the signs of a keeper. never a question in the field but his all around game is looking really solid now.

 

I haven’t been this excited to see an athlete like Ohtani play since Kobe in his prime. He would’ve also been so proud to see how our Japanese star is performing. :/

 

was thinking that tonight watching him give up a hit while going 4/4. totally unreal. no player in our lifetime or possibly ever like him. looks effortless most of the time on top of it.

 

Makes zero fucking sense, imo.

i know Edman's coming back but hard to see him chasing Freeland off second base if he keeps this up

 

not sure if its davey or what but the fact that every coach, trainer and ball boy daps during and after the games is really cool.

 

watching Kyle talk to Kirsten after games i think he'd like a little taste of chocolate. lots of eye contact both ways. might be time for some Dodger scandal!

Chance to win the series tonight after a well rounded (RISP hitting aside) win last night.

The Sho Show continues on its roll. Six one-hit innings and three hits at the plate. Only slight glitch in the armor is a lack of pitch efficiency. Good move to get him after they extended the lead to 7-0.

Might have been a mirage, but for one game Tucker lived up to his contract. Impressive how he used the entire field. Max had a couple of hits and hit three balls 100 mph plus. Hopefully he's getting past his wrist thing. Freddie doing Freddie things.

Good game for Freeland. Three hits and a couple of RBI. Highlight of his game for me was 4-6-3 DP he and Mookie turned on Corbin Carroll. Never thought I'd see one turned on a player with wheels like Carroll. That was slick.

Really like what I see from the third Hernandez. Everything he throws moves. Inability to throw strikes is why he's bounced from organization to organization.

 

Knowing what running at that point in a 7-0 game means and may result in may be as far away from his awareness as e=mc2. I think some younger ballplayers totally oblivious to the finer points of the game, and unfortunately, may be gone forever. They just don't exist in their conscienceness any longer.
This morning, a guy up the block, my age and an ex artillery man himself, called me over while walking my dog to show me something...he's got Jackie's rookie card, the Dukes', a Duke and Willie together card ( ( AS game) and a Joe Namath rookie card. They all were in beautiful condition.
On the way back, he is waiting to show me two more he said he forgot...1908 cigarette cards of some guy named Meyers on the NYY, an American Indian and another guy from the St. Louis Browns. Bright colors, seemed perfect. He said he got them from his grandfather.
I wonder if anyone cares about these kind of things anymore ?

 

I used to stick cards of Mays, McCovey and Marichal in my bicycle spokes. No regrets.

 

My Uncie Paul would get drunk & piss on any Gnat baseball card. He pissed on lots of things, but I saved cards for him special.
