We'll have logos in the next hour...I have some free time tonight and have been meaning to move them over for a long time.

Yeah, sensitive to that...I tried to keep them subtle.
Let me know if you don't like any, or have suggestions. The hard part is done...easy to change/add now.

New kid is a good example.
New name could be bleeding heart. Or bleeding red.
    He has been great.
The right way you try to help a forum.
You show up see what areas need attention where the folks running things are weak and try to fill the gaps at first quietly and then making yourself noticed and slowly giving your opinions and just doing what you want to see improved without need of anything but to be allowed to serve for no reason than its own pleasure.
You do that and at some pointed you are granted increased roles with broader powers and the confidence of the other mucketymucks who will listen and implement your fancies.

how about in the flat blue theme?
it has these default speech bubbles that block the logos...
of course these same bubbles also indicate when a forum is unread
any way to delete the bubbles and have the forum text "bold" instead?
no biggie if its a lot of work
its just that theme seems to work best for me

btw, i see the text already bolds when its unread
so its just a matter of getting rid of the speech bubbles
is that a pain or no?...

Best I could do right now was disable the custom icons for flat blue.
Looks like the read/unread bubbles are hard coded into the style. It makes the style load faster, but makes it much harder to manipulate the style.
It should be possible to disable those read/unread bubbles, but I can't find it right now and I'm getting tired. I'll try again later.

This is how the real world works too.
I see so many kids fresh out of school that need to learn this lesson.
You don't just roll up and act like you run the place. No one will take you seriously.
You got to put in the work, prove you know what you're doing, prove you're dependable, prove you're someone that people can trust...and most importantly: prove you're someone that people want to work with.

i remember being 17 and working at this shop
the owner was one of those hard ass guys
he paid well, but he was on your ass if you weren't doing something, anything
i remember a monday morning and school had just started and it was pretty dead
i decided to go in the back storage room and pull all the inventory down, count it, and label everything
wasn't doing it for any particular reason, was just trying to find something to do to stay out of his way
took me about a week to finish
the following monday he says he wants to talk to me
my first thought was, "shit, what did i do now"
i was sure he was going to chew me out about something
    but no
he told me he was impressed at how i had taken it upon myself to do something that made it easier for everyone
he then said he was giving me a $1/hour raise (which was a lot back then) and said great job
and all i was trying to do was stay out of his way
taught me a lesson though... be a self-starter
we have a bunch of kids working for us now
all good kids, but only one or two that try to do better
    shame

Shame is some managers/owners don't like initiative due to control issues. Micromanagers.
And some coworkers don't like to work with a tryhard. Because they look bad by comparison or because then everyone else has to work a little more and relax less.
I've had to learn these lessons too.
